教材分析 本课是人教版新版小学英语五年级下册Unit 4 Is there a library in your class?中的Lesson 19。通过Mark和他的朋友Barry介绍他们在英国的学习环境（art corner, science corner, mini-library, computer corner）以及学习方式（do group work），引导学生在具体的语境中感知、模仿、学习和体验英国学生的学习方式。Are there any computers in your class? Is there a library in your class?是there be 的疑问句型，是本单元新授内容,本课感知be there…?句型并尝试使用。同时通过What do you do …?这一个旧的知识引出并学习在不同的功能区进行的活动，如： We study plants and animals in the science corner.
学情分析 此次执教为借班上课。塘沽实验小学每周三节英语课，一二年级起学习《快乐英语》，以口语为主。三年级起使用《新版英语》教材。学生较为适应以听、说、认读为主的学习方式，对西方教室的设施和情况比较陌生，对小组合作的体验比较陌生；能用there be句型表达简单的句子。
教学目标 K&S 1、在具体情境中，引导学生初步了解语篇内容，并能正确地朗读。
2、引导学生在语境中听懂并会说mini-library, science corner, art corner, computer corner.
P&M 在情境中尝试运用there be 结构的句子介绍mini-library, science corner, art corner computer corner，用 What do you do …?询问了解英国学生在 mini-library, science corner, art corner, computer corner等场所的活动，体验英国学生的学习方式。
A 1. 联系学习体验和课堂情境，了解不同学校的学习环境，创设情境，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。
2. 通过小组合作学习的活动，培养学生增强合作意识，使学生们体会到合作学习的快乐。
