Lesson 5 What are they doing?
学情分析:本节课的授课对象是小学五年级的学生,他们已具备了一定的英语口语表达能力和书写能力。本单元前几课都是围绕现在进行时态展开,学生已经基本掌握现在进行时的单数的表达方式。本节课,学生要学习现在进行时的复数的表达方式,能够巩固运用现在进行时谈论他人正在做的动作。本节课内容与现实生活息息相关,让学生能够更好的参与教学。
I.教学目标:
1.知识与技能目标:
(1)听懂、读懂和理解并灵活运用现在进行时,对现在分词的构成有初步了解。
(2)初步了解单词的重音,并能在句中体会读音。
(3)能在情景中进行交流及对话表演。
2.学习策略目标:培养学生积极与他人合作,培养相关阅读策略.
Ⅱ.教学重难点:
1、理解课文并能够熟练使用下面的句型
What are they doing? – They’re __ing …
理解课文并能够熟练使用现在进行时。
3、 初步了解句单词的重音。

课文课件, 多媒体课件,报纸,转盘,纸牌等

Step1. Greeting and warming up
播放《Who is singing》歌曲。
T:Hello,boys and girls! How are you today? Are you happy? Ss:Yes.
(设计意图:通过交流,歌曲拉近师生之间的距离)
Step 2、Review
Today, we’ll learn lesson 5, What are they doing?
呈现现在进行时动作图片(动词后直接加ing形式,去e加ing;双写尾字母加ing,),让孩子通过What is …doing? 的句型复习知识,带领学生复习学过的动词及现在分词,归纳总结动名词的变化规律.’
(设计意图:通过教师图片中的行为,让孩子通过What is …doing??的句型复习知识,发散学生的思维,回忆动词的ing形式。使其知其所以然)
Step3. Leading-in
T:Who is this? (man,baby,woman图片呈现出来,学习people!
T:Listen! What is coming? I have two questions here, Who is on the train ? What are they doing? (屏幕打出问题)
T:please listen the text and try to find the answer.
T:please read the text quietly and try to find the answer.
T: Are you Ok, ? Who is on the train?
Ss: Liming. Li Ming’s mother…..(让一个孩子起立尽力表达,如果还有遗漏可以让其他孩子进行补充,老师可以问anyone else 补充)
(设计意图:通过情境引入课题what are they doing?设置问题,答案在课文中,从而实现课文的导入。并且运用盲听,默读的方式让学生深入了解课文。)
Step3.New concept
T:What are they doing? Please have a look.
T:What is the woman doing?
Ss: The woman is reading the newspaper.(可以多问几个学生)
T:What am I doing? What is she\he doing?
T:What is Danny doing?
Ss: Danny is playing with the baby.
T: What is the man doing?
Ss: The man is playing cards .
T: What are they doing? (找几个同学表演玩牌,练习句型What are they doing?They’re...)
T: What is the man behind me doing?
Ss: The man behind me is playing cards with his friends.
T:read the text loudly and we’ll have a role play. I want you read in group of 3.one is LiMing, one is Danny, one is Jenny. (找两组学生表演,在读的过程检测学生发音情况,)
(设计意图:通过创设情境,让学生理解句型,并达到学以致用.通过让学生自己阅读文章,培养了学生的基础阅读能力,在小组分角色练习中又能体现学生语言表达能力.)
Step4. practice (Spin)
T:now,look at me ,what is in my hand?
Ss:转盘
T:We call it spin.
T:Now let’s play a game .do it in group of four, I give you 1 minute, you make sentences use the words on the spin. For example! You are swimming (需要教师手指向转盘,开始时可以领读,学生会自然而然跟读)
T:Are you ready? Lets go.
T:How many sentences did you make?
(设计意图:通过课文中的转盘游戏,利用竞赛的方式来完成现在进行时的各种练习,既能抓住学生注意力,又能进行对此进行大量的练习,且活跃了课堂氛围。
T: Here is a little point, what does the little point mean?
Ss: 重音!
T:Ok,who can stand up and read the tip for us.(找学生大声读出关于重音的规律:双音节单词一般在第一个音节重读)
T: 第一个音节重读就是读的更重一点。Ok , let’s read together!
(设计意图:让学生能根据重音的位置将部分单词重读,熟悉重音)Step5.Production
T:Do you want to become a writer ? Let me show you. Take out a piece of paper, and fold it like this , the first part , I write somebody, the second part, you write doing sth., the third part, you write places.The last student say out the sentence.
(设计意图:通过游戏生成语言,既锻炼了学生的表达能力,又培养了学生的合作意识,同时增加了练习的深度。)

教学反思:
这节课重点学习运用现在进行时句型“What are they doing? They are…..”进行问答,为了使学生愉悦、顺利地完成学习任务,我首先通过歌曲《Who is singing》.引出学过的进行时态的句子,然后通过一系列的动作形式,直观地巩固这些进行时态的句子。这两个环节的设计直接为新知识的学习做好了铺垫。接着教授句型“What are they doing? They are … ”并通过practice、listen to the tape、Act out等环节加强对新知识的巩固。
学生学习语言是存在差异的。作为教师,我始终坚持一视同仁。在本课教学中,我从不吝啬赞美之语,即表扬优秀生,又鼓励后进生。在“角色表演”教学环节中,我有意识地抽了一部分后进生,以鼓励他们学习的积极性,增强他们的自信心。让每一个孩子都参与学习的全过程,从而体会到成功的快乐。
不足: 重音部分的教学,应该让学生多听,多模仿, 效果会更好.
