一、预习展示：（Preview and present）
1.写出下列词汇：

2.写出下列句型：
(1)John 留着胡须。
(2) 她戴着眼镜。
(3) 她有金黄色的头发。
二、感悟导入（Lead-in）
Ask the students to look at the pictures （Pricture1 is a man with a pair of glasses;Picture2 is a man with a beard’Picture3 is a man has blond hair.）and answer the following questions.
1. What is he wearing in Picture 1
2. What’s on his face in Picture 2
3. What color is his hair in Picture 3
Help the students to give the answers.
S1: He is wearing a pair of glasses.
S2: He has beard on his face.
S3: He has blonde hair.
Write down the new words under every picture and read the new words: glasses, beard, blonde.

I.询问人的外貌：
询问人的外貌时，我们常用“What+do/does+主语+look like ”这一句型，其中助动词用do还是用does取决于主语的人称和数的变化；当主语是第三人称单数或单数名词时，用 ;当主语是其他人称或复数名词时，用 .
【特别连接】
１.日常生活中，我们可以用“What+be+主语+like ”这一句型来询问某人的品质、个性等。
e.g：她妈妈是个什么样的人？
-她相当和善。
2.询问某人的情绪和健康状况时，我们常用how 引导的特殊疑问句。e.g：你父亲好吗？

II.描述人的外貌：
描述人的外貌时，我们不仅可以从身高、体重方面去描述，也可以从发型、面部特征方面去说明，还可以从着装方面去介绍。
从身高、体重方面：
我们体育老师中等个儿。
她中等身材。
我有点胖。
从发型、面部特征方面：
杰克有一头卷发。
我叔叔留着胡须。
从着装方面：
他们穿着制服。

Step 4. Listening comprehension (2a,2b)
1. Ask the students to listen to and write Johnny Dean’s and Tina Brown’s jobs.
2.Check the answers by asking the following questions.
T: Who’s Johnny Dean S: A rock singer.
T: And who’s Tina Brown S: He’s a movie actor.
3. Ask the students to listen again and then write the answers to the question “What do Johnny and Tina look like ” in 2b. Then play the recording and check the answers.
4. Ask the students to repeat after the recording line by line and try to write them down.
Step5. Groupwork (2c)
Let students first read the passage in 2c,then talk about what their favorite musician / actor / athlete looks like in groups.
Sample passages:
