What is a hurricane

There is no way to stop a hurricane or make it change direction， so if you ever find yourself in the path of a hurricane，be sure to remember the following safety tips.
·Be sure you have a radio，batteries，fresh drinking water，and enough food.
·Tell neighbours，friends，and family members your emergency plans.Tell them where you'll go if you need to leave your home.
·If you live near the ocean，leave your home and travel to a safe place.You could stay with a friend or a family member，in a hotel/motel，or in an emergency shelter area.

Greg was a high school running star in a small town in California.He had to stop running for months because his knee was injured.“I started thinking about all the things I

Greg collected his own sports shoes and then called his friends and the town. His aim was to have 100 pairs by Christmas 2006.When the number climbed to more than 500 pairs，Greg knew that he could collect sports shoes all year round.
Now，he has set up collection boxes in his town. So far，S.O.S. has collected and donated more than 3,000 pairs of shoes. And Greg has cleaned almost all of them.“People
