一.教材及目标
1.教材分析:本单元的题目是《Unit7 I’m going to be a basketball player.》这单元的主要内容是通过复习一些旧的职业名词和学习一些新的职业的词汇,使用be going to谈论长大以后打算做什么工作以及打算怎样实现目标。学习关于职业的词汇以及用want to be\do谈论将来,用be doing谈论将来的打算,学好本课将为进一步学习一般将来时打下良好的基础。
2.学情分析
初二学生活泼、好动、好胜心强、可塑性大,在教学过程中,注意设置情境,倡导其活动参与,并引进小组竞争机制,更好地激发学生的学习兴趣,提高课堂效率。
3.教学目标:
(1).知识目标: 掌握本课重点词汇computer programmer, computer science, engineer, pilot, professional …本课主要句型:What are you going to be when you grow up I’m going to be an engineer.
How are you going to do that I’m going to study math really hard.
语法:用be going to表示一般将来时。
(2).能力目标:学生能用英语谈论将来计划,提高学生听、说、读、写等能力。
(3).情感目标:通过谈论将来打算做什么以及准备怎样实现目标,来明确自己的人生目标,尽早地为自己的将来做好准备。培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,善于合作,培养学生团结协作精神,明确当前任务是努力学习,为目标奋斗,而不是幻想。
4.教学重、难点:
重点是掌握本课 computer programmer, computer science, engineer, pilot, professional等重点词汇。
重点句型What are you going to be when you grow up I’m going to be an engineer.
How are you going to do that I’m going to study math hard..
语法:用be going to表示一般将来时。
难点是一般将来时be going to 中be 的具体形式和后面接动词原形的用法,学生容易混淆,我把它作为难点 而学生根据自己喜欢的职业,运用所学知识谈论自己打算怎样做来实现目标则既是难点,又是能力训练点。
二. 教学方法
1.“Teach English in English”: 即新课标倡导的“用英语教英语”,尽量用英语教学,创造英语课堂良好的听的环境,让学生充分感知,积极体验,大胆实践,把握用英语交际的机会,鼓励学生大胆开口说英语。2.突出重点,突破难点:通过听力训练、做调查、小组竞赛等多种形式反复操练重点句型,巩固所学知识,提高灵活运用能力,通过操练中人称的变化和幻灯片展示帮助学生更好地领会语法。并把难点逐个分解,让学生更容易掌握。
3.任务型教学法:倡导体验参与,培养自主学习能力。
课前布置任务,要求学生复习六年级(下)关于职业的词汇,预先读本课新词,让学生带着任务有目的地上课,并在课堂学习中不断获得完成此任务所必须的知识、能力、技能等,为最终完成任务作全面的准备。4. 游戏教学法:新课标倡导的“玩中学,学中玩”的理念很受学生欢迎。设计猜谜游戏复习六年级(下)学到的关于职业的词汇,既达到以旧带新的目的,又有效地激发了学生的学习兴趣,活跃了课堂气氛。
5.竞赛教学法:根据初中生争强好胜的性格特征,在课堂内引进小组竞争机制,提高团体活动效率,加强团体凝聚力,激发学生的求知欲和参与意识。
6.借助多媒体辅助教学,形象、生动,使课堂容量相对增加,给学生提供更多的语言实践机会,有利于综合语言运用能力的提高。
7.教具:电脑多媒体、录音机。

(1) 这是一个be going to用于特殊疑问句的句子, be going to用于疑问句中将be放在主语前。如:
Are you going to hike to the top of the mountain?你们要徒步登上山顶吗?
Explanation
When are you going to start?
你们什么时候出发?
be going to表示将要发生的动作,含有“计划,打算”的意思,后跟动词原形。常跟表将来的时间连用。
如: next Sunday下星期天, next month下个月, next year明年等。
如: I’m going to play football this afternoon.
我打算今天下午踢足球。
I’m not going to swim this Sunday.
这个星期天我不打算去游泳。
(2) grow up 指人或动物长大;成年;成熟。
如: She’s growing up fast.
她长得很快。
A close friendship gradually grew up between them.
他们之间的友谊日益亲密。
2. When I grow up, I’m going to do what I want to do .
 长大后, 我打算做我想做的事情。
 When I grow up是由 when 引导的一个时间状语从句。
 When 当 … 的时候; 什么时候  
e.g. When Peter grows up, he wants to be an engineer.
  彼得长大后想当一名工程师。

 我打算搬到某个有意思的地方去住。

a. (使)移动

b. 迅速移动
That car was really moving.
那汽车跑得可真快。
c. 搬家
 We’re going to move next week.
我们打算下周搬家。
 ★somewhere interesting
某个有意思的地方
somewhere为不定副词,形容词修饰不定代词或不定副词时,放在不定代词或不定副词的后面。类似的不定代词或不定副词还有:
something, anything, nothing, anywhere, nowhere
eg. There’s nothing interesting in this book.
这本书里没什么有意思的东西。
Paris sounds like a city that I could enjoy.
巴黎听起来像是我喜欢的城市。
(1) sound like“听起来像”, sound作连系动词用, like是介词, 作表语。
如:That sounds like a good idea.
听起来是一个好主意。
(2) that I could enjoy是定语从句修饰city, that为关系代词, 在从句中担任动词宾语,可以省去。
如: I have a beautiful skirt (that) I like very much.
我有一条漂亮的裙子, 我非常喜欢。
5. They have lots of fashion shows there.
他们哪儿有很多的时装表演。
 表示许多的词还有:a lot of, many, much,
many 修饰可数名词,a lot of 既可以修饰可
数名词,也可以修饰不可数名词。
(lots of 和 a lot of用法类似 ) much 修饰
不可数名词a lot(许多) 一般用来修饰动词,
而不能修饰名词。
eg. He has a lot of money.
他有许多钱。
  My grandfather collects a lot of stamps. 我爷爷收集了很多邮票。
  I have many friends in Beijing.      我在北京有很多朋友。
There is still much water in the bottle.
瓶子里还有很多水。
Lots of foreigners come to Beijing every year.
每年都有很多外国人来北京。
 From Beijing Opera, they can learn a lot about Chinese history. 他们能从京剧中学到很多有关中国历史的东西。
6. Next, I’m going to hold art exhibitions that will make me rich and famous.
 下一步,我打算举办艺术展览, 这些展览将会使我富有并且出名。

a. 握住;拿着;抱着
 She is holding a book (in her hand). 她(手里) 拿着一本书。

 somewhere为不定副词 ,因此修饰它的形容词放在后面。

harder hard 的比较级
eg. If you want to make progress, you must work harder.

eat与have这两个动词都可以表示“吃”的意思。
eat可用作及物或不及物动词,是日常
用语, 但用在日常口语中不够礼貌。
让别人“吃”, 通常用have。如:

(2) 在美国, eat既作“吃”,又作“喝”解。
如: We eat our soup first. 我们先喝汤。
(3) have是普通用语, 同样可以表示“吃”,也可以表示“喝”。用在非正式的文体中。

你们什么时候吃晚饭?
I do not have coffee in the evening.
晚上我不喝咖啡。
注意: “吃药”,习惯上说have/take medicine,不说eat/drink medicine。
如: Your son catches a bad cold. He should have some medicine.
你儿子得了重感冒, 他应该吃药。
2. Some girls said they are going to exercise more to keep fit.
  一些女孩说他们打算加强锻炼, 以便保持身材。
  to keep fit为了使身体健康;为了保持身材。
  to为不定式, 后面跟动词原形,表示目的。

他努力学习, 以便能得好分数。

她每天锻炼, 以便保持身材。

 他们想更好地和孩子们交流。
