Step I Lead-in (导入部分)
l. Free talk : T: We know sports are good for our health . Do you like sports ? What sports do you like ? Today we’ll learn Unit 2 Let’s play sports.
2. Present and learn new words . Do you remember Millie, Sandy, Simon and Daniel? Who likes sports? Simon is good at sports. What about Amy? What sport is Amy good at? She is good at swimming. Look at Sandy and Millie. What sport are they good at? They are good at playing volleyball. They can play volleyball very well. Look at Kitty. She likes tennis very much.
Step II Presentation(新授部分)
1. Lead-in : Sports are good for us . Eddie also likes sports . Look, what’s in Hobo’s hand ? He has a football in his hand. I think he likes football very much. Do you think so ?But what about Eddie? What is his favorite sport? What sports does he like ?
2. T: Now let’s listen to Eddie and Hobo’s dialogue and answer the above question : What sport does Eddie like/ Does Eddie really like walking? S: He likes walking .
T: Does Eddie really like walking ? S: No. He walks to his bowl many times a day .
3. Read after the tape and understand the comic strip .
4. These two teams read Eddie’s part and these two read Hobo’s part , please .
5.Work in pairs and read the dialogue between Eddie and Hobo . You can add your own ideas .

本课时主要是让学生学习一些有关体育运动的名词,使学生学会用英语来谈论自己喜欢的体育运动。在本课导入时可以先与学生进行简单的交谈,让学生回忆以前学过的或者是一些常见的体育运动,然后在补充一些新的知识。在这过程中让学生学会“-Do you like …? –Yes, I like …./ No, I don’t like ….”以及“What’s your favourite sport? 这些句型,让学生学会自由表达并能简单阐明原因。学生在日常生活跟体育运动接触不少,这个话题对他们来说不会生疏,要给学生提供尽可能多的机会在课堂上表现自己,是他们能够积极地参与课堂活动,使他们每一堂课都能有所获!

本堂课是Reading第一课时的教学,主要是阅读教学。通过对西蒙最喜爱的足球明星李华的介绍来让学生了解广受欢迎的体育运动—足球,进而让学生谈论他人和自己最喜欢的体育运动及最喜欢的运动员。在本课中教师可以提供让学生感兴趣的话题和情境,比如与学生交流关于足球明星贝克汉姆或者其他知名球星的信息,与学生进行交流,容易与学生形成共鸣,学生也有话可说。也可以多介绍一些体育明星包括各个领域的,让学生选出他们最喜欢的,然后模仿B3制作一张小卡片,介绍运动员的个人信息(姓名、年龄、所属俱乐部、外貌、家乡、居住地等等),将信息事先填好,有利于课堂上师生和生生之间的交流。

2. Look ,who are these men in the picture? They are basketball players. They play basket very well. This is Kobe .He looks very strong. Kobe plays basketball very well. Many students like him. They often watch his game on TV in their free time. I like watching TV too. But my cousin likes reading .He often reads storybooks.
Look at these sentences and pay attention to the verbs. we use the “verb to do” in these ones. Today we’ll learn the simple present tense of the verb to do.

教学探讨与反思:
该课时主要学习行为动词的一般现在时的用法,学好本课内容,是学习英语成功的第一步。在一般现在时中,特别是第三人称的动词变化是学生练习的难点。如何做到有效地突出重点,高效地突破难点呢?传统语法教学会让学生枯燥的学习规律,但是它又是语言的基础知识,是学生必需掌握的技能。还是化繁为简的方式更容易让学生记住,在运用的时候减少障碍。我又自编了一个口诀:不是I,不是You, 一个人或一件物, 就是第三人称单, 动词后面长尾巴, 加上s或es, 提问句首加does, 其他人称怎么办?动词不要去变化, 提问句首加上do, don’t, doesn’t表否定,如果见到助动词, 统统变回老样子.因为是自编的,所以不一定很工整,但是学生经过记口诀,简化了课堂内容、降低了知识难度与思维跨度,更易于接受,学生的学习情绪也不至于过于纠缠于语法规律的记忆而失去对语法学习兴趣。一般现在时是非常基础的一种语法,对于学好英语具有非常重要的作用。因此,教师应该在教授一般现在时的语法的时候充分调动学生的自主学习性,结合理论和实际,让学生能够更好地掌握一般现在时。

在本课时的学习中,主要是训练学生的听力和口语能力,本课时Integrated skills相对来说较为简单,在Speak up 和Study skills 板块可以多花一点时间。本单元的语音是一个难点,针对初一学生好动、好胜、好新、好奇、思维活跃,集中注意持久性较差等特点,在教学过程中注意创设各种游戏活动和竞赛活动,给学生创设一个轻松愉快的语言学习氛围,让学习过程充满乐趣并同时使他们感受到一定的挑战,满足他们的竞争意识和成功感,从而使他们达到积极思维。
