TEACHING PLAN
Materials: Lesson Three of Unit 3,Book 5
Teaching Time: 40 minutes
Teaching aims: (教学目标):
1. 能初步运用形容词、副词的比较级描述事物和人物;并综合运用已学的知识和新知识进行交流。
2. 能听懂、正确模仿本文对话,能作角色朗读,并模仿课文主要语言进行交流
3. 培养学生的注意力和观察力,团队合作精神和坚持不懈精神,激发学习兴趣。。
4.语言要点有:
Who is the winner, Hao Tian or Lu Li
Hao Tian is shorter than Lu Li .

5. 词汇要求:能听懂单词race,first (1会)
能听、说、理解、认读 winner, than, or (3会)
能听、读、说、写shorter, higher,bigger, smaller, faster, higher, stronger, longer等形容词、副词的比较级(4会)

Teaching course(教学过程):
Step 1 Warm-up & Revision ( 8m )
1. Sing a song. (学生通过唱英语歌曲Friend集中注意力,并借助歌词复习形容词big, old, tall等词)
2. 故事引入:The Rabbit and the Tortoise(老师手拿兔子、乌龟剪卡进行角色扮演“龟兔赛跑”,把学生带入熟悉的语景中,领悟新词race,first,winner等,最后把学生分成rabbit组和 tortoise组,提出竞赛目标要求)。
T/RABBIT(singing): Wow! There are so many friends here today Hello!
How are you What day is today ( Ss…)
T/RABBIT: It’s a fine day to play. Look! Who’s coming
T/Tortoise: Good morning ,boys and girls.(Ss:…) Good morning ,Miss Rabbit!
T/RABBIT: Morning! What are you doing , Mr Tortoise
T/Tortoise: I’m running.
T/RABBIT: Running Ha, ha ,you can’t run. Your legs are too short. My legs are long .I can run faster than you .
T/TORTOISE: Don’t be so sure. Let’s have a race.
T/RABBIT: Race (出示卡片单词,学生重复race,卡片后面写出词义:“赛跑”)
T/Tortoise: Yes. Have a race! (T/Tortoise: )Let’s run to that tall tree. The one who gets there first is the winner.
T to the class: Then , who was the winner, the rabbit or the tortoise ( tortoise)
Yes.But today we’ll have a new race. Half of you to be Tortoise ,half of you to be Rabbit. Let’s see who will be the winner ,you or you
T/Ss: (呼口号为自己加油) Come on ,come on, Tortoise! Run ,Run ,Rabbit!
3.TPR
课件展示chant内容,老师领着大家一起做动作。Tall,tall,tall,make yourself tall….Run, run, run, fast ,fast ,faster! Walk ,walk ,walk ,slowly ,slowly ,slowly! 喻示“龟兔”跑步情景,活跃气氛,并在情景中自然引出要学习的动词、形容词和副词。体现出“润物细无声”的作用。
4. 评价。`根据刚才大家的参表现,让“兔子”和“乌龟从起点开始,在跑道上迈出一步。龟兔迈出的步伐大小表明小组的成绩表现,这一评价方式一直贯 彻整个教学过程。
Step 2 Presentation(15m)
1. 教学taller than/ shorter than
1) 活动练习:让2行学生站起来比较身高,根据学生身高情况描述。老师同时出示象形卡片:shorter ,taller引导大家理解认读。一行从前到后,由矮到高比,一行从后往前,由高到低比。比如,Look! Zhang Hong is tall. Wang Lin is taller than Zhang Hong .Liu Mei is taller Wang Lin。/Wang Han is tall. Ms Xu is taller than Wang Lin.最后,让学生自己找一找,说一说,班上同学谁比谁更高,谁比谁更矮。
2)扩展练习,并学习问句Who is taller, …or …

使用比较新潮的RAB节奏进行分步对答:
A:Hm,Hm,Taller ,taller, who is taller,Zhou jielun or Yao Ming Zhou jielun or Yao Ming
B:Taller ,taller, Yao Ming is taller than Zhou Jielun.Yao Ming is taller than Zhou Jielun. (学生模仿,可以用shorter替换)
2.学习bigger than /smaller than等比较级单词
1).实物呈现:连接上面的环节,老师 “变戏法”似地从箱子里拿出四个大小不同的气球作奖品送给几个学生,球上贴有big,bigger/small,smaller 。
T: Well done, kids !Look! What’s in the box Wow, it’s a big balloon. And a bigger one. Oh, this one is small. It’s smaller. Which one do you want
四个学生选择好自己要的气球后站成一排,举起手中气球领大家认读球上的单词,并拼读比较级,如:b-i-g-g-e-r——bigger.
2) 课件展示《动物运动会》片段,学生边看边后问答一个个的问题,教师指导学习更多的比较级单词)

(学说/分组回答句子) T: The cow… The frog….

3)游戏活动“找朋友”:对全部所学比较级单词进行巩固,老师快速出示单词卡片,学生抢答认读,正确则得到卡片,站成两排,最后,其他同学数十秒one, two…ten,有卡片的同学必须以最快的速度找到自己的朋友,如:fat——fatter。
4)做连线练习 P.29 Children’s garden
Step 3 Practice (15 m )
Look, listen and act (Lesson 3)
1) 课件展示 学生观看第3课的课文对话录像,集视听于一体,进行综合语言的运用能力的训练。
T: You know Hao Tiao is taking part in the high jump event. Is he the winner Watch and listen carefully!
2) Questions: (回答问题)

反思:
重大版教材五年级(上)Unit 3的话题是A Sport s Meet,在此背景中安排了诸如take part in, rope skipping之类的十多个和运动会有关的词语以及形容词和副词的比较级教学。可以说是词汇难学,语法难教,重难点集中在一个单元。在小学如此短少的教学课时中,教师怎么才能不让学生学成似懂非懂的“夹生饭”呢?我的做法是1:“分化重、难点”。用4-5课时来学Lesson 1和Lesson 2 ,重点掌握运动项目名称;再用4课时学习Lesson 3 到Self-assessment,重点学习形容词和副词的比较级教学,并巩固单元前面所学。2:“由简到繁,化难为趣”。在这一课的教学中,教师没有语法条例的讲解,但是处处突显一个“比”字。 比得生动有趣,简单易懂。“龟兔赛跑”是最典型的两者之比,学生一看一听便明白,以此为背景十分自然地引入学习内容,又激励了学生以小组方式进入下面的学习比赛。在用人、加版书中的歌曲Friends和chant进行big,tall等形容词的复习后,通过举例学习bigger,taller等比较级单词,观看利用课件扩展范围,用RAB,“抢答”“问答”“找朋友”“连线”等生动有趣的活动操练词汇和句型,学生基本上就能较好地掌握bigger,taller等比较级单词的构成,初步明白Yao Ming is taller than Zhou Jielun.这样的句型含义及用法了。这时,我将课文处理成视听材料,学生发现运用在已有的认知水平已经能回答出老师提出地问题了,非常高兴。老师只需要多让学生听几遍录音,模仿正确的语音语调就可以了。这样一来,在下一课时进行第3课的其他单词和形容词和副词比较级用法的书面作业练习将会顺利多了。
