三、教学步骤
Step I Class Opening(4 minutes)
1?Sing a song:“If You Are Happy and You Know It”
2?Guessing Game
[设计思路:首先用一首有关身体部位的歌曲进行热身,再利用卡片让学生猜身体部位的单词,让学生提前进入状态,活跃课堂气氛。] Step II New Concepts(26 minutes)
1?Long or short?
(1)Draw and Ask
老师在黑板上画出一个小孩,让学生为她补画头发。
[设计思路:利用“直观教学法”引出新授单词hair,能够吸引学生的注意力,给课堂增加趣味性。]
(2)Review
T: Put up your left hand.
Ss: Left hand.(Do the action.)
And review hot, cold, in,out, happy,sad with the TPR.
[设计思路:反复练习几组学过的反义词为学生更好地学习本课的两对新反义词 long?short和big?little作了铺垫。同时,学生在活跃的气氛中巩固了单词。]
(3)Teach “long, short, straight, curly”.
在黑板上先画出女孩的头发(长发),接着画出其他三个短、卷、直发女孩。让学生描述她们的发型。也可以描述班里同学的头发。
[设计思路: 形象、生动的画面可以帮助学生更好地理解单词的意思。用刚学过的词汇描述自己身边的同学,将所学应用于实际,可帮助学生更好地巩固和记忆单词。]

(1)Colour Point Game
[设计思路:此游戏可以为下面学习本课重要句型作好铺垫。]
(2)指着黑板上的女孩让学生分别说出以下几种颜色的头发:
black hair, red hair, brown hair
Point to the blond hair and tell the students it?s not yellow but blond hair.
Practice to say this new word a few times.

[设计思路:通过接龙的形式让学生在愉快的氛围中巩固句型:My hair is …]
3?Big or little
(1)Chant:Hand, hand, hands. Arm, arm, arms.
Leg, leg, legs. Foot, foot, feet.
[设计思路:运用朗朗上口的自编儿歌巧妙地对个别身体部位的复数进行了复习。]
(2)Show the monsters.
T(Point to one monster.): It has big ears and little feet. (Practice to say “big”and“little”a few times.)

Then show the other three monsters one by one.Describe the monsters.

Play the audiotape and ask the students to follow. Pay attention to the pronunciation.
Step III Consolidation(6 minutes)
Game:“贴木偶”比赛。让学生拿出事先准备的各色毛线和一张白纸。两人为一组,用毛线贴出木偶的各式各样的头发及大、小、长、短不一的身体部位。然后指导学生用新学的单词互相介绍自己的木偶。
[设计思路:根据低年级的学生活泼好动的特点,让他们在轻松愉快的情境中,亲自动手、动脑,完成自己的作品。利用这种方式给学生提供一个创新空间。使他们在语言交际中灵活运用知识,逐步掌握英语知识,并提高语言实际运用能力。]
