The SARS epidemic began in 2002 with a lung disease in Guangdong Province and spread quickly.
Dr Liu Jianjun, the carrier, came to Hong Kong and passed the virus病毒 to people who carried it to Canada, Vietnam and Singapore.
SARS
(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndromes)
严重急性呼吸综合征又称传染性非典型肺炎,简称SARS,是一种因感染SARS冠状病毒引起的新的呼吸系统传染性疾病。主要通过近距离空气飞沫传播,以发热,头痛,肌肉酸痛,乏力,干咳少痰等为主要临床表现,严重者可出现呼吸窘迫。本病具有较强的传染性,在家庭和医院有显著的聚集现象。首发病例,也是全球首例于2002年11月出现在广东佛山,并迅速形成流行态势。2002年11月-2003年8月5日,29个国家报告临床诊断病例病例8422例,死亡916例。报告病例的平均死亡率为9.3%。
What’s the outcome of SARS
Over nine months, the number of global cases passed 8,000 and 774 people died.
Since most people had no natural defences 自身免疫力 against the disease, it was also harmful to the doctors and nurses treating SARS patients.

1. 流行性感冒
预防措施:接种流感疫苗已被国际医学界公认是防范流感的最有效的武器。由于流感病毒变异很快,通常每年的流行类型都有所不同。因此,每年接种最新的流感疫苗才能达到预防的效果。
另外,锻炼身体,增强体质,在流感季节经常开窗通风,保持室内空气新鲜,老年人、儿童尽量少去人群密集的地方等等,也是预防流感的有效措施。

2. 要在饮食上注意,要清淡、易消化,多吃高蛋白、高维生素。不能偏食,平时要多吃些蔬菜,水果,忌食生、冷。
3.要多饮水,生活中要注意保护呼吸系统,不要吸烟、喝酒,不吃刺激性食物,不要过度用嗓子,这样就可以减少对呼吸道不良刺激。湿化室内空气,最好使室内湿度达到50-60%,以保持口鼻粘膜的湿润。

4.一定要保证充足的睡眠,不能过于疲劳,因疲劳容易使我们的抵抗力下降。睡前用热水洗脚利于睡眠,缓解疲劳。
