【教材依据】 本课为冀教版义务教育教科书八年级英语下册《Lesson 4 The Spring City》
一、设计思路
英语课程的总目标是:通过英语学习使学生形成初步的综合语言运用能力,促进心智发展,提高综合人文素养。本课正是以学生熟悉的话题春季为载体,通过学习本课的单词和短语,让学生学会如何运用所学单词谈论你最喜欢的季节——春天,并教育学生热爱大自然,保护大自然。让学生在小组合作中学会英语,掌握英语,运用英语。让学生体验到用英语进行交流的乐趣,对英语学习表现出积极性和初步的自信心。同时,教师要与学生进行广泛的合作、协调和沟通,并在适时进行指导和评价。
二、教学目标
1、知识目标:
(1)学会运用单词,如:budding ,nearly ,millimeter, plenty,anytime ;短语long for, plenty of, hundreds of 。
(2)掌握nearly与almost的辨析。
(3)辨析Because和because of, 并熟练掌握其应用。
2、能力目标:根据图片让学生学会运用所学词汇谈论自己家乡的春季,在同学合作交流的基础上,形成良好的英语表达能力,同时注意开发学生记忆能力、观察能力、想象和分析等多种能力。
3、情感目标:体验用英语进行语言交际的乐趣,激发学生主动参与学习的热 情,并教育学生热爱大自然,保护大自然。
4、教学重点:
(1) hundreds of的用法 。
(2)培养学生听说能力,会运用所学词汇谈论自己家乡的春天。
5、教学难点:
学会运用所学词汇谈论自己家乡的春天。

四、教学过程:
Step1. Lead in: (图片)
T: What can you see ?
S: We can see …
(观看一些有春季特征的植物图片迎春花、桃花、垂柳等, 创设学习英语的良好氛围,激发学生学习英语的积极性。)
T: Which season can you think of when we see these pictures,?
S: Spring.
T: We know spring can bring clean 、fresh air,a new life and hope.
Would you like to live in a place that is spring all year round?
S: Yes.
T: Well,this class we will know about city-- The Spring City.
(利用多媒体课件导入春城--昆明,让学生身临其境感受春城的“美”。)
Step2. Work in groups.
1. Teaching.
Teach new words : budding ,nearly ,millimeter, plenty,anytime ;
(利用多媒体呈现出本节课所需单词的图片,要求学生掌握并熟练应用。)
2.listening. (磁带)
Listen to people talking about their hometown and match the name with the sentences. (P9 Exercise-2)
(听力训练,捕捉信息。听录音,让学生了解有关天气的信息。现代外语教学理论认为一定量的语言输入是以语言输出为基础的,所以必须进行相应的听力练习。)
3.Reading.
Read the lesson and answer the questions:
(1)What is the average temperature in winter /summer in Kunming?
(2)How much rain does the city get every year?
(3)How many hours of sunshine does the city get every year?
(4)Why are there many flowers all year round in Kunming?
(利用多媒体呈现出以上问题,要求学生集体读课文,分组讨论回答以上问题,对学生的答案,在适时进行指导和评价。)
4.Explaining.
Read the lesson and underline the following phrases:long for, plenty of, hundreds of ,then make sure the students understand them.
(1) long for 渴望 e.g. We long for peace.
(2) plenty of 大量,充足
(plenty of后面既可以跟名词复数也可以跟不可数名词)
E.g. I have seen plenty of English films.
There is plenty of rice in the market.
(3)hundreds of 数以百计的
hundred 百
two hundred 二百
(hundred加“s”和of连用 表示概数; hundred前面有基数词不加“s”也不和of连用)
(4)因为,由于
Because 连词 后跟句子,引导原因状语从句,通常回答“why"
because of 介词短语 后跟名词\名词短语
e.g. He walked slowly because of his bad leg.
I was late for school yesterday because the traffic was busy.
(5)辨析nearly与almost
nearly,almost虽然都可以表示“几乎”;nearly多用于时间或数字方面,almost在修饰动词,形容词,副词和名词是,常和almost换用,但和no,none,nothing,never,连用时,只可用almost,不能用nearly

(分小组练习:描述春天,通过生生互动让学生将本课的语言目标进一步掌握,教师在适时进行指导、纠错和评价。)

六、教学反思
在实际教学中,我真实地感受到学生们的分享与快乐,语言学习对学生来说不再是死记硬背的煎熬,而是多种多样的有趣的活动,语言与丰富的学习体验,在实践活动中,语言成为一种必不可少的交流工具,看到学生们兴致勃勃地参与交流,我为今天语言教学的进步而骄傲,为学生们多方面能力的发展而骄傲。
