Lesson 7: Planting Trees
一、教材分析
本课是冀教版八年级下册第二单元第七课,本单元主要围绕“植物与园艺”展开话题。本课李明和他的同学正在植树,以对话形式呈现的步骤及植树的原因,帮助学生用英语进行交际,进而增强学生对英语的学习兴趣和交际能力,培养学生的环保意识。
二、教学目标
1. 语言技能:
能用自己的语言描述种树的步骤以及植树的原因。
2.掌握一些基本词汇的用法:
hole, large, root, seedling, cover, fill, dirt, pack, dust, storm, dirty, northern, bottom.
教学重点,难点:
掌握以下句型:
Dig a hole, put the seedling inside, cover the roots and fill the hole with dirt, pack the dirt, put a little water in the bottom of the hole.
When there is a dust storm, it gets windy and dirty everywhere.
Rich lands have turned into desert.
Planting trees is a great way to learn about nature.
4.情感态度:
⑴ 激发学生热爱劳动、多植树,保护地球的意识。
⑵ 激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

Step I Lead in

Watch pictures and videos to show some of the new words and phrases :

2. Look at the pictures and learn the steps for planting trees and some new words and phrases: seedling, root, hole, large, cove, fill, dirt, pack, bottom; cover... with..., fill ... with...
(设计思路:通过图片让学生直观地感受植树的过程与步骤,并记忆学习本课重点单词或词组。)
Match the pictures with the steps for planting trees.

Retell the steps for planting trees according to the pictures.
(设计思路:复述植树步骤,纠正学生的发音,体现了从输入到输出的过程。)
Act and guess
Ask five students to act out the steps for planting trees. And then the others guess.

2. Read the lesson and answer the questions.

(设计思路:快速默读课文并回答问题,目的是让学生对课文有初步的了解,从整体上感知课文,提升学生的阅读理解能力。)
3. Read the lesson again and talk about the reasons for planting trees in pairs.
(设计思路:让学生对课文再次熟悉。然后讨论植树的原因,让学生了解我们生存的环境在改变,理解植树的重要性及迫切性。)
4. Summary and retell
1) Summary
Summarize what we have learned by looking at the blackboard.
Retell the lesson
Ask the students to retell the lesson with the key points on the blackboard in groups

出的过程;还可以更多地了解自然,亲近自然,保护环境。)
五、教学反思
本课取得了很好的教学效果,课堂气氛活跃,受到了学生的一致好评。经过反思,我认为本课具有如下特点:
图片生动形象,可以帮助学生理解、形象记忆。适时地进行语言鼓励和表扬,激发学生的学习兴趣。
本节课充分锻炼了学生的听、说、读、写等能力。
充分调动学生学习英语的积极性,几乎让每一个学生都加入到课堂活动中来,成为课堂活动的主体,不让一个学生掉队。
通过看图片来展示出部分重点单词、短语、句型的形式较单调,可以让学生亲身参与种树并拍成图片,这样会更加激发学生的学习兴趣。
