Lesson 25 Raising Money 教学设计
Ⅰ教学目标:
1.Knowledge objectives:
① Make the students use the following words and phrases correctly:
pay, bake, dollar, sixteen, advertising, poster, make money.
② Master the rules of how to use these words: pay, spend, cost, take.
2. Ability objectives:
①. Be able to get the key information while listening to the tape. Make sure most of the students can do some simple exercises after listening.
②. Have the ability of comprehending the teacher’s question and knowing how to solve it.
3. Emotion objectives:
Through reading and listening to the two dialogues, make the students know that raising money is a good way to collect money for other people in need. And remember to be a nice man!Cultivate them to care for others.
Ⅱ 教学重点:New words and phrases,the meaning of text.
Ⅲ 教学难点:Ask the Ss to talk about how to raise money for our activities.
Ⅳ 教学方法:Communicative Teaching,Group Teaching,Situational Teaching.
Ⅴ 教学资源:Multimedia courseware .
Ⅵ 教学步骤:
Step1:Greeting and Lead-in
Greet the students in English and make sure they can response correctly.
T:Good morning, boys and girls! Before we begin our lesson , Let’s look at some pictures .Show the pictures (p4) and ask:
What are they doing?
Students answer: They are raising money.
T:From the pictures we can see that they are raising money to help the people who are very poor and the people who are in trouble.
T: Well done , boys and girls.You have done good job.Today we will learn Unit 5 , Lesson25 Raising Money
Step2: Words and expressions
The teacher asks students to translate the phrases first and then ask the students to check together.
Give the students two minutes to practise the words and remember them.
Step3:Listening
Listen to the passage and fill in the blanks.
Each player needs to pay ____________ for the trip.
Jenny, Danny and Brain decide to work together to _____________.
⑶ Brain wants to bake something _________ to sell.
⑷ Danny is going to _________ a new product to sell.
⑸ Jenny will make a __________ to help them.
2.Check the answers as a class.
3.Listen to the tape and correct your pronunciation.
Step4: Reading
1. Read the lesson and answer the questions:
⑴ Why do they want to raise money?
⑵ When will they have a bake sale?
⑶ How much will Brian’s cookies cost?
2. Get the students to read the text aloud together .
3. Give them two minutes to discuss the question in group and try to find out the correct answers.
4. Check the answers as a class.
Step5: Explanation (Language Points)
1.Show the slides (9 and 10)
2. Explain the usage of the words:take ,cost ,pay and spend.
Step6: Consolidation
1. Show the slides (11).
2. Get the students to do the exercises by themselves first and then talk about the exercises in group, at last ,give the correct answers in front of the class.
Step7: Extension (work in pairs)
Tell the students that our class will go on a field trip .Work in pairs. But first, you have to raise money for it. Make up a dialogue and act it out.we need to buy some food and take a bus to go there ,but we don’t have enough money ,the teacher hopes them to think of some ideas to raise some money for the trip .
Step8:Exercises
Show the slides (13).
Step9: Summary and emotions
Remember to be a nice man! Help others within your power!

教学反思: 本节课教学流程:图片导入--检测预习--听力训练--读课文--回答问题--讲授重难点--结对活动--练习--小结--作业。课堂环节清晰,重点突出,明确,做到了精讲精练。不足之处是对学生鼓励用语单一,学生课堂交流少。以后教学过程中我要多让学生结对或角色扮演,多进行情景练习。
