学情分析:本课时的教学内容是冀教版八年级下册英语第八单元的第五课时,主要涉及介绍保护自然、保护动物的重要性。此单元主要讲环保类话题,学生之前已经有了一定的积累,这节课除完成本节课的阅读任务,课上通过绘画思维导图和学生小组合作的形式进行相互交流,总结深化,最终形成自然保护自然和动物,保护我们的地球我们的家园的意识。

2. 通过扫读课文,进行排序,了解文章结构及其段落大意;

4. 通过绘画思维导图,能够有逻辑有条理的说出如何保护自然的方案。

Step 1:Pre-reading
Leading-in by watching a video about food chain.
And then ask the following questions:
1. What the meaning idea of the video?
2. Do all the living things on the planet depend on one another?
Step 2:While-reading
Task 1: Read the lesson and put these sentences in the correct order.

Task 2: Read the passage carefully and then answer the following questions:
1. List some living things.
People; flowers; grass; trees; bees; ants; doves; cats…
2. What helps people grow big and strong?
Food(Fruit, vegetables, meat, fish) and water.
3. What will happen if people pollute the rivers and oceans?
Fish may get sick or even die.
4. What will happen if the birds eat the sick or dead fish?
They may die off.
5. What’s the effect if one species dies off?
If one species dies off, then another species may die off, followed by another, and another…
