本课教学内容为北师大版小学英语五年级下册第7单元Days of the Week的Enjoy the Story部分,主要学习使用句型Whatdayisittoday?Todayis...Whatdoyoudoon...? I...on ... 教材通过Mocky邀请Ann和Ken一起玩的对话情景,让学生感知上述句型的语义及语用情境。
三、学情分析Students analysis
五年级学生对英语已经有了较浓厚的兴趣,也有了一定的基础。然而这个阶段学生的英语实际应用能力是非常有限的,这也就促使他们十分渴望能用英语解决日常生活中的实际问题,在实践中提高自己的英语水平。所以我们要通过直观的活动吸引学生,激发他们的学习兴趣,让学生在真实的情景中去学习语言、运用语言,让学生在感知、体验和参与中获取知识,形成能力。
设计理念Teaching methods
本课的教学设计强调从学生的学习兴趣出发,采用小组合作的学习方式,课堂评价贯穿始终,让学生在小组活动中,通过唱、做、写、说、演等多种手段学习和使用英语,完成学习任务。使学生在学习活动过程中培养综合语言运用能力

能够在图片帮助下理解故事内容,朗读人物对话。

通过故事的学习,渗透在日常生活中做计划的意识与习惯的培养。
通过小组活动,培养团队协作意识。

T: Look at the calendar, and tell me how many days are there in a week?
2. Ask and answer. Point the date and ask students the questions below. Pay attention to the pronunciation-Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, etc. (Write down the key sentence patterns on the blackboard.)
T: What day is it today?
S: It抯 Monday/Tuesday
3. Pair work: Point, ask, and answer.
Students can practice the key sentence patterns above.
4. Free talk
T: What do you do on Monday?
S1: I play basketball on Monday.
T: Wow, that’s nice. How about you, S2? What do you do on Tuesday?
S2: I play the piano on Tuesday.

1.观察日历,用实物直观引起学生探究关于生活的兴趣。
2.创设情境,让学生在真实的语境中理解和掌握目标词汇和句型,并借助词卡加深印象。

Production Class work: Retell the story
T:Mocky comes to visit Ann and Ken. What does he want to do with them? Can they play together? What day is it today? Can Mocky remember all the days?
Combine with the worksheet, retell the story. Class work 全班活动,带领学生回顾故事内容,并结合worksheet复述故事内容。

说明Briefing:
本课时主要学习“Enjoy the Story”部分的情景对话及句型“Whatdayisittoday?Todayis...Whatdoyoudoon...? I...on ...”。
首先以观察日历导入Days of the Week这一主题,激活学生对于星期的背景知识,然后在情境中教学“Whatdayisittoday?Todayis...Whatdoyoudoon...? I...on ...”,学生易于理解和掌握。
在展示环节,创设情境,结合实际生活,谈论一周七天,并讨论做的事情。巩固操练环节,结合故事,进一步掌握关键句型以及了解如何在情境中使用,让学生在活动中运用语言来描述一周的主要日程安排或活动,提高学生语言的实际运用能力。
最后,利用黑板上的关键句型来回顾课堂重点内容,升华主题。
