一、教材分析
1?教学目标
●语言知识
(1)复习掌握(能正确地听、说、读、写)以下动物名称: chicken, pig, duck, cow。
(2)通过讲故事学习相关词汇:farm, field, mud, pond,要求学生能听懂、会说、识记这些词汇。
●语言技能
教师针对故事内容提出相关讨论问题,启发学生讨论故事中的角色和情节。通过课堂的师生互动过程,运用已有的语言知识进行交流与讨论,培养学生的语言表达及语言运用能力。促进学生的口语交际能力。
●情感态度
关注学生的情感,营造宽松、民主、和谐的氛围,进一步提高学生对英语的学习热情,增强学习兴趣。培养学生积极主动地参与课堂活动,大胆开口,积极讨论。
●学习策略
以学生为主体,以能力培养为宗旨,创设多种多样的方式和机会让学生通过自主、合作、探究等学习方式阅读英语故事。注重教与学的互动和生生互动,将集体学习与小组学习相结合。
2?教学重点
本课为一节故事课,要求学生在学习相关词汇的基础上看、听、读并谈论故事内容。
3?教学难点
正确理解故事内容并就有关问题进行谈论。二、教学准备
多媒体课件、 图片、词卡、 录音机
三、教学步骤
Step I Class Opening (3 minutes)
1?Greeting
Greet students to welcome them to English class.
2?Sing a song.
Play the audiotape and sing the song “How Are You ”
The students sing the song and do actions.
3?Free Talk
Talk about the weather and the animals on the farm. Use some questions such as: How?s the weather today What animals do you like Do you like a pig
[设计思路:以亲切的问候导入,进行简单的日常对话,给学生用英文交流的机会。师生同唱歌曲“How Are You ”在歌声与活动中互相问候,营造轻松和谐的氛围,师生关系融洽,提高学生学习的积极性,为本次的英语教学活动提供了一个良好的开端。在“Free Talk”中的讨论话题,为引入本课主题奠定基础。]
Step II New Concepts (9 minutes)
1?Use the multimedia and review the animals on the farm.
(1)Show the picture of a farm and lead a discussion about the picture. Ask some questions such as:
Do you like a farm
What can you see on a farm
(2) The teacher leads a discussion about the animals on a farm.Show a cow and talk about it.
What colour is it
Do you like it
Use the same way to show a pig, a chicken, a duck.And talk about them. Encourage the students to talk and discuss. They can talk about the colour, or what they like or dislike etc.
[设计思路:   小学阶段学生的无意注意占主导地位,变化的、形象的事物易引起学生注意,且有助于记忆。关键词汇部分以多媒体的形式呈现,并伴随各种动物的叫声,给学生直观、形象的认知,使学生产生浓厚的兴趣。]
2?Learn the new concepts of the story.
(1)The teacher asks: What else can you see on a farm
(2)Show the picture of field, and say this word several times.
Show the picture of mud, and say the word several times.
Show the picture of pond. Introduce pond.
The students try to say, understand and recognize
these words: field, mud, pond.
[设计思路:在英语教学中,词汇的学习不应孤立地去机械记忆,而应把单词融入到语句中,给学生充分练习英语的机会。本课在使用多媒体课件复习关键词汇及出示新授词汇时,都有一些小小的谈论内容。不仅起到复习巩固的效果,而且拓展了知识,促进学生的口头表达能力的提高。]
3?Story(26 miuntes)
(1)Prepare to read.(5 minutes)
Show the beginning of the story.Tell the students that the story is about Jenny?s father when he was a little boy.Ask the students to look at the picture and guess:
What happened
What is the main idea about the story
[设计思路:利用多媒体展示故事的开头部分。针对图中的信息,教师进行相关提问,给学生设置悬念,同时运用任务教学法,让学生带着问题及好奇心来读故事。增强了学生的学习兴趣,同时提高学习效率。]
(2)Listen and read the story.(3 minutes)
Play the audiotape. Ask the students to listen carefully.
The students look at their story books and listen.
[设计思路: 听录音读故事,学生在听读的过程中边听、边读、边进行思考,使学生学会自主学习。]
(3)Discuss the story. (18 minutes)
Use the multimedia to show the story and lead the discussion.
A. The multimedia shows: When Jenny?s father was a little boy, he lived on a farm.
Ask some questions about this part. Talk about the second picture.
Such as: Where was the boy Who was the boy
The students talk about these part.
[设计思路: 利用多媒体展示故事内容,更为形象、生动,有助于学生理解。在听过一遍故事的基础上,再根据故事的发展进行讨论,提高学生的语言运用能力及语言表达能力。]
B. Show the third picture. Talk about the picture.
Show the phrases: “too big,too small,just right”.
The students try to understand and say: too big,too small,just right.
C. Show the fourth and fifth pictures.
Guess what would happen
The students talk about these pictures.

E. Show the sixth part of the story.
The teacher asks some questions and leads a discussion. Such as:
Did Jenny ride a pig in the mud Was Jenny silly
(4)Listen to the story again. Discuss the story in small groups. The teacher provides some questions such as:
Do you like the story Can you ride a pig in the mud Do you like to ride a pig in the mud Do you like being silly
The students also can talk about their experience about the farm.
[设计思路:随着多媒体的演示,故事一步步发展,教师通过不断提出问题吸引学生注意力。在看、听、读讨论故事的过程中,通过课堂的师生互动和生生互动,运用已有的语言知识进行交流与讨论,培养学生的语言表达及语言运用能力。拓展学生知识,锻炼学生的听说能力及思维能力。]
Step III Class Closing(2 minutes)
1?Sing a song and say good?bye!
Reorganize the song “This is the way we wash the clothes.”
Make a new song“This is the way we find the cow.”
The students sing and say good?bye!
[设计思路: 通过改编歌曲 “This is the way we wash the clothes.”为“This is the way we find the cow.” 并以多媒体的形式展现,再次出现本课关键词汇,加深记忆。与开头相呼应,在歌声中互道再见。使学生在愉悦的氛围中结束本次英语活动。]
2?Homework
(1)Listen to the story again.
(2)Talk about the story with your friends.
(3)Talk about your favourite animals and draw a picture about the farm and your favourite animals.
四、教学反思
本课为一节故事课,要求学生在掌握相关词汇的基础上看、听、读并谈论故事内容,培养学生的语言表达及语言运用能力。在课的一开始以亲切的问候导入,师生同唱 “How Are You ”在歌声与活动中互相问候。在这一环节,学生表现轻松、愉快,很快地把注意力转移到英语学习中,提高了学生的活动性。新授部分的词汇运用多媒体展示,给学生以直观形象的认知,在这一环节学生的学习效果良好。在听读故事的环节,学生表现出对故事的极大热情。由于这一环节讲究的是对故事的整体认知及理解,并不要求每一个单词都会说,学生会对故事中出现的一些词或句子比较陌生,因此,在对故事的讨论这一环节,由于词汇量和语言知识的积累所限,学生间所进行的讨论显得有些单调,如:部分学生只是局限在围绕:What?s this What?s her name What color is the pig 等几个简单问题的讨论。因此,要想进行知识的延伸,就需要突破这几个简单的问题,把讨论引导到故事的重要内容上,这些需要以一定的语言积累和词汇积累为基石,这就对我们提出了两方面的要求:一方面要注意平时的积累,另一方面,在进行故事讨论的过程中,为学生提供更多可供参考的语言材料。总之,本次教学活动从总体上来说顺利地完成了教学目标,教学效果良好,但也存在一些不足。在今后的教学中应扬长避短,不断总结经验教训,不断学习先进的教育理论与好的教学方法,针对不同学生的不同情况运用不同的教学方法与教学手段。
