三、教学步骤
Step I Class Opening (5 minutes)
1?Greeting
T: Hello, boys and girls!
Ss: Hello, Miss Shi!
T: I am very happy to see you again. How are you
Ss: I’m fine, thank you. And you
T: Very well, thanks.
2?Sing a song: “As I Was Going Down the Street.”
[设计思路:利用简短的问候、活泼的歌曲,为学生创造一个轻松、愉快的英语气氛,并复习前面学过的五种职业和五个常用动词。调动了学习英语的积极性。]
Step II New Concepts (32 minutes)
1.Monthes of the year
Present
First write today’s date on the blackboard in both English and Chinese. Ask the students to write this date on a piece of paper. Point out that English and Chinese dates order differently. In English, the order is usually month, day and year. In Chinese, the order is usually year, month, day.
[设计思路:通过比较,使学生了解在日期表达上英汉词序不同。]
Play the audiotape. As the speaker says the names of the months in English, hold up the corresponding vocabulary cards, and put the cards in order at the bottom of the blackboard.
[设计思路:边听边看,不忘记听录音。利用卡片,加深印象。]
Practise
(1)Use the Student Book
Look at the Student Book, and play the audiotape again. Let the students point to the words as the speaker says the names of the months, and then say after the speaker.
[设计思路:听磁带,跟读这个环节不能丢。]
(2)Chant:一月January雪花飞;二月 February年来到;三月 March花儿笑;四月 April风筝飞;五月May去劳动;六月June节日到;七月July向着党;八月 August烈日照;九月 September回学校;十月 October庆国庆;十一月 November 初冬到;十二月December过圣诞。
[设计思路:通过朗朗上口、节奏性强的歌谣,激发学生兴趣,加深记忆。]
(3)Games
a.Put the cards in order.
T: Hi, class, close your eyes, please. (将月份卡片的顺序打乱)OK. Now open your eyes, please. Look at these cards. Who can put them in order
[设计思路:卡片排序,使学生认知、识别月份单词。]
b.A guessing game.
Take a card away and then ask the students what is missing. We can play it three times.
[设计思路:猜所缺单词游戏进一步练习月份单词,培养学生观察力注意力,激发学习兴趣。]
c.fly swatter
Bring two fly swatters (things for killing flies) to class. Write the twelve months on each side of the blackboard, but don’t write the words in order! Divide the class into two teams. Choose one student from each team to hold the fly swatter. Call out the name of a month. The students will try to be the first to “swat” the correct month.
[设计思路:采用幽默、生动的游戏形式,融入竞赛机制。调动了积极性,学生练习效果好。]
(4)Look at these words. What words are similar Let’s find out. Do remember, they always begin with the big letter.

2?How is the weather
(1) Now let’s learn something new. (Draw pictures on the blackboard.) What is it It is the sun,rain,wind,cloud and snow.

(2)This is a window. (Draw a window.)Now look out the window. How’s the weather today It’s sunny/rainy/windy/cloudy/snowy.
[设计思路:介绍五个形容词与五个名词对应,ny/y用红色标出。]
(3)Play the audiotape as the students follow in their books.
(4)Take out five word cards for weather. First read them, then play a game with them: What’s missing
[设计思路:使用卡片进行游戏,进一步练习巩固所授词汇和句型。学中玩,玩中学。]
