形容词和副词是中学英语的重要组成部分，也是高考考查的热点之一。主要考查形容词、副词的基本用法及其比较等级。主要考查形容词比较级、同级比较时倍数及名词的位置、副词(词组)的意思、用法及位置等；比较等级及其修饰语；在特定的语境中选择恰当的词语。
其中，词义辨析是重中之重，因此考生在复习备考时应注意对常见词义的记忆。

易错点1 忽视形容词、副词修饰与被修饰的关系以及它们在句子中的位置

【解析】考生容易误选D项，原因是从汉语的思维角度来考虑问题，理解成了“甚至使我吃惊的是”。此处意思为“令我非常吃惊的是”，much修饰to my surprise。little很少，ever曾经，even甚至，这几个词均不能修饰该短语。

【错因透视】to one’s surprise的强调说法是：much to one’s surprise或to one’s great surprise。如：much to the delight of his friends使他的朋友非常高兴的是。

【错因透视】too much(1)相当于形容词，意为“more than enough”，用在不可数名词前面作定语或在系动词后面作表语。如：She’S afraid the trip will be too much for me．她怕我受不了旅途的劳累。(2)相当于名词，在句中作主语或宾语。如：Too much was happening all at once．同时发生的事情太多了。(3)相当于副词，在句中作状语。如：You work too much．你工作干得太多了。
而much too的用法比较简单，只作状语相当于副词，但它不单独使用，在句子中要修饰形容词或副词，但不修饰动词。如：You are much too kind to me．你对我实在太好了。

【错因透视】多个形容词共同修饰一个名词时的排列顺序是：
①限定词②程度状语③描述性(如：beautiful、bad、cold、great等)④大小(长短、高低)⑤形状(如：round，square等)⑧年龄⑦新旧⑧颜色⑨国籍(出处、地区)⑩物质、材料⑩类别、用途+中心词名词。其中，“限定词”包括：冠词、物主代词、指示代词或数词，它位于各类形容词前。它本身分为三位，即：前、中、后。
前位限定词有all、half、both、分数和倍数；中位限定词有冠词、指示代词、物主代词等；后位限定词有基数词和序数词，但序数词位于基数词前。如：both my hands、all half his income等。“作用、类别”的词，如：medical，college，writing(desk)，police(car)等。

易错点4 没有掌握表示倍数关系的句型

【易错题1】It seems that living green is easy and affordable. A small step masks a big difference.

【解析】考生容易误选D项，原因是对语境的意思把握不准。exactly准确地；fortunately幸运地；surprisingly惊讶地，出乎意料地；hardly几乎不。句意为：看来绿色生活是出人意料得容易和可以负担得起费用的，很小的一个步骤会带来很大的差异。

【错因透视】对于副词的辨析要做到两点：一点是明确各个副词的确切含义，另一点是准确理解题干的意思。
