【教学目标】
1 .知识目标:(1) Students can use the form of ads: the funniest ,the most creative ,the quietest ,the best.
(2) New vocabulary: musical, together, act, success, without.
2. 能力目标: Students finish the reading tasks with pictures and information, then practice writing with listening information.
3.情感目标:Students tell own likes and dislikes according to their opinions.

1. Students can use the form of ads.
2. Students finish the reading tasks and get information.
3. Students write a composition about famous people.

【教具】 The computer-assisted and a tape recorder will be needed in this lesson.
【Teaching Steps】
Step One : Lead-in.
Introduce myself and tell them my favorite musical group. Teach them the new vocabulary: musical, together, act, success, without. Then let several students read the new words.
(设计意图:自我介绍导入,介绍自己喜欢的音乐组合,通过学生熟悉的组合在语境中学习新词,并给出音标,加强基础年级的识此能力。)
Step Two: Fast reading.
T: Here is a musical group on our books. It’s a picture about last week’s talent show. Read the passage and answer the following questions:
Who are they in the picture
What did they do in the talent show
Then check the answers by asking two students to tell the answers.
(设计意图:围绕课本3a的图片设置问题,问题是由who\what引出的特殊疑问句。引导学生快速阅读,了解文章大意。)
Step Three: Careful reading.
1.(3a) Read the passage again and fill in the blanks with the words from the box. Then check the answers.
2. Read it carefully and fill in the chart.

(设计意图:先利用课本中第一部分3a的任务让学生细读全文,再设计完成表格的任务,让学生细读全文获得更多有效信息。)
Step Four: Writing guide.
Find out the sentences about prizes and write them down on the blackboard:
(1) ...won the ...prize for the ...performer
(2)...was the...performer
(3) The prize for the...act went to...
(设计意图:细读全文后,分析文章写作思路,强调功能句的作用,进行写作策略的指导,为下一步的写作打好语言基础。)
Step Five: Grammar points.
T: Do you have any difficulties in understanding Help them if they need.Then
let students talk about the grammar points in groups of four.

Step Six: Reading show.
(1) Let students listen and repeat the article.
(2) Read it by themselves.
(3) Let students read the article, correct their pronunciation.
(4) Retell the passage with the help of the chart:

(设计意图:通过跟读、朗读、复述等环节的活动让学生整体感知文章,矫正发音,感受语言之美,使学生最终能够自己组织语言对文章进行复述。)
Step seven: Writing.
Let students talk about other performers according to 2a and 2b, then fill in chart:

Ask students to write a short passage about these performers in the chart.
Let two students read their passages for the whole class,correct the mistakes after reading.
(设计意图:根据上节课2a,2b的表格小组合作讨论其他演员的活动和评价,获得有效的写作信息,指导学生进行模仿式的写作。)
Step Eight: Guessing Game.
T: Let’s watch a talent show about famous people. Show them some pictures about famous people. Let them guess: Who do you think is the ... They can guess : I think...is the .... Show them the prizes at last.
(设计意图:通过名人秀的获奖竞猜活动活跃课堂气氛,对学生输入有效的写作信息,为下一步的写作做好铺垫。)
Step Nine: Writing.
Ask students to write an article about the famous people talent show in 3b. Let a student write it down on the blackboard. Check the article with the whole. Then let students check their articles in pairs. They can learn from each other.
(设计意图:让学生根据上个环节获得的信息进行写作训练,并共同修改学生的一篇作文,进行分析。再让学生互相改作文,相互学习,交流写作方法,完善自己的作文。)
Step Ten: Survey.
Make a survey in groups of four. Let students do it like this: -- Who \ What do you think is the ... – I think... Then write the results in the chart.
(2)Let some students to give reports like this :

He\She thinks … is the loudest musical group.
(设计意图:拔高训练,以调查报告的方式展开,围绕本课话题让学生进行语言交际,并整体输出语言信息,对学生进行语言运用的拓展训练。)

【课后反思】
1、成功之处:本课是一节读写课,授课过程中侧重对学生阅读策略和写作策略的指导,学生的课堂反映较好,大部分学生能够比较顺利的进行语言输出,这是本节课的成功之处。
2、不足之处:教学的第一个环节中,课件展示了新词音标但没有让学生识读,没有给学生自主学习的时间,学生的识词能力没有得到锻炼;另外,知识点的讲授部分没有针对性的习题进行运用,这是我在以后教学中需要改善的地方。
3、改进措施:(1)加强自身的语言学习,增强语言运用能力,进而感染学生,让学生感受英语的语言魅力。
(2)分析、利用好课本中的图片信息和文字信息,合理设置阅读任务,在每个环节都训练学生的能力。(共15张PPT)
