教学内容:人教精通版小学英语五年级上册Lesson 18
学情分析:五年级知识难度开始加大,逐步出现长难词组、句子及语法知识,导致很多学生学习兴趣不是很高,同时,许多学生还是为学习而学习,谈不上兴趣。但是五年学生生活领域和认知领域有了一定提升,所以要改进课堂教学方式,让师生之间的课堂活动形式更加多样化,师生之间更加融洽。鼓励学生观察、思考和创新,提高学生的思维能力,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。
教学目标
1.语言知识技能目标:
(1)学生能够听、说、认读、写四会单词wait, take, young, child(children), people。
(2)学生能够听懂理解单词litter,词组help old people/play on the street/take good care of young children/pick flowers/keep off the grass, 句子You must wait for the green light. You mustn’t cross the street when the light is red, 并能在真实情境中正确表达社会规则。
(3)学生能够正确使用No…制作指示牌。
(4)学生能能够体验感知字母组合ir在单词中的发音[?]。
2.过程与方法目标:
(1)通过任务型教学法、情景教学法、多媒体辅助教学法帮助学生体验运用语言。
(2)鼓励学生师生互动,小组合作
3.情感态度目标:
(1)帮助学生形成遵守社会公共道德的意识。
(2)使学生在小组合作中,逐步形成合作互助意识。

四、教学过程
Step 1 Warm-up(情境呈现,以旧引新)
Watch the video of Lesson 17 and ask students to answer the question ”What’ s Lesson 17 about?” and lead students to find out the answer ”social rules”.
Present the storybook ”Seven Little Dwarfs and Social Rules” made by the teacher and ask students to practice the tongue twister on the cover ”You must do what you must do. You mustn’t do what you mustn’t do.”.
Step 2 Presentation and Practise (完成任务,操练新知)
Ask one student to read the background of the storybook on Page 1 for the whole class. Then students get to know the names of seven little dwarfs and understand they should help Snow White find out the naughty dwarf who breaks social rules by finishing different tasks.
Task 1:
Look at Page 2 and lead students to say 攑ick flowers by
asking 揥hat does the dwarf do?.
Ask students to circle the social rule for pick flowers
in the storybook.
Help students say the social rule “You mustn抰 pick
flowers. by asking “Can you pick flowers?.
(4)Students can get Clue 1 for finding the naughty dwarf.
Task 2:
Pair work: Students finish 揋et the Clue 2攐n Page 2 and
揋et the Clue 3 on Page 3 in pair.
Check the answer on Page 2: Ask students to spell “litter
and read the social rule “You mustn抰 litter.
(3)Students can get Clue 2 for finding the naughty dwarf.
(4)Check the answer on Page 3: Get students to know the social
rule for 搆eep off the grass is 揧ou must keep off the
grass .
(5)Students can get Clue 3 for finding the naughty dwarf.
Task 3:
Students observe the picture on Page 3 and answer questions:
What does he do?/Can he cross the street now?
Read the traffic rule You mustn抰 cross the street when
the light is red. one by one.
Finish the other traffic rules in the storybook by filling
up the blank.
(4)Read the three traffic rules together and read it in pair.
(5)Let抯 chant: students stand up, stamp their feet and chant.
Look out, look out, yellow light, yellow light, wait, wait, wait, wait for the green light.
Red light, red light, stop, stop, stop, stop for the green light.
Green light, green light, go, go, go, cross the street.
Students can get Clue 4 for finding the naughty dwarf and
find out the naught dwarf is 揌appy.
Task 4:Group work: Ask students to write a letter to the naught
dwarf揌appy telling him to obey the rules in group.
Task 5:
Find out some signs in the story book telling “Happy” to
obey the rules from Page 2 to Page 3.
(2)Present some other signs in daily life.
(3)Pair work. Ask students to design and draw signs for park
and library.
Task 6:
(1)The teacher says ”You抮e so nice. Happy wants to be friend s with you. He wants to play on the street with you. Is it a good idea. Why? 擫ead students to practice the phrase play on the street and sentence You mustn抰 play on the street.
(2)Match the pictures with the right phrases 攈elp old people and 搕ake good care of young children .
(3)Read the phrases 攈elp old people 搕ake good care of young children.
(4)Help students distinguish 揷hild and 揷hildren.
(5)Finish the multiple choice related with social rules for ”help old people” and “take good care of young children”
Step 3 Extension and Enhancement(小组合作,巩固拓展)
Lead to the learning of the chant ”ir” by asking “what does
the girl wear?”.
Students find out the pronunciation [?] by themselves and
chant together.
3.Put the phrases on the blackboard in the right place(must/mustn抰).
4.Group work: Students finish the table about home rules/school rules/social rules. Choose any of it and finish it in group.
5.Emotional education: No matter where you are, you should obey
the rules. You must do what you must do. You mustn抰 do what
you mustn抰 do.
