Unit 1 Can you be my Chinese pen friend?
Period 1
本课时为第五模块第一单元的第一课时,主要学习教材第26、27页的内容。本课时围绕着“Can you be my Chinese pen friend?”来展开课文学习,通过活动2中西蒙、劳拉和大明之间的对话,引出重点句型“Can sb...?”及其答语“Yes, sb can/No, sb can't”,重点句子“Pleased to meet you!”和重点词汇pen friend、address的学习。
知识目标
1.能掌握重点词汇pen friend、address。
2.能在初次见面时用“Pleased to meet you!”进行打招呼。
3.能用句型“Can+主语+动词原形(+其他)?”询问某人是否会做某事。
4.能用句型“主语+can+动词原形(+其他)”表达某人会/能做某事。
5.能用句型“主语+can't+动词原形(+其他)”表达某人不会/不能做某事。

1.在实际情景中能运用本模块句型进行打招呼。

Step 1:Warm-up
1.师生互相问候。
2.教师播放第四模块第二单元活动5的歌谣,教师领唱,全班学生跟唱。
通过唱一唱,活跃课堂气氛,让学生带着高昂的情绪进入到下面的学习。
Step 2:Presentation
1.Activity 1
·教材意图
感知句型“Can sb...?” 为活动2的学习做铺垫。
·教学建议
(1)教师与学生进行师生问答,引出课文内容。
T:What's your favourite animal?
Ss:My favourite animal is...
T:Do you like pandas?
Ss:Yes, I do./No, I don't.
T:Look at this panda. Can he speak English?
Ss:No, he can't./Yes, he can.
T:Now let's listen to the video and find the answer.(播放录音,学生认真听。)
T:The panda can't speak English. But who can speak English?
Ss:The bird.
教师再次播放录音,学生认真听。
T:The bird can speak English. Can you speak English?
Ss:Yes, I can.
(2)教师第三次播放录音,学生跟读。
(3)最后教师带领全班学生朗读并翻译课文内容。
2.Activity 2
·教材意图
学习重点词汇pen friend、address和重点句型“Can+主语+动词原形(+其他)?”“主语+can+动词原形(+其他)”“主语+can't+动词原形(+其他)”。
·教学建议
(1)教授词组pen friend:
①T:Today we have a new friend(教师用多媒体课件呈现一张女士的图片). She's my pen friend,Ms Meng.
②教师板书并讲解pen friend,然后教读。
(2)教授生词address:
①教师描述多媒体课件中呈现的女士的图片:Ms Meng is teaching in America now. This is her address.(并在多媒体课件中用气泡框呈现出孟老师的地址)
②教师板书并讲解address,然后教读。
(3)教授重点句子Pleased to meet you!
①教师在多媒体课件中呈现一张孟老师打招呼的照片,然后说:Now, she's greeting to you.(多媒体课件展示打招呼的句子:Pleased to meet you!)
②教师板书教读:Pleased to meet you!并解释说:It means “Nice to meet you!”or “Glad to meet you!” So you should answer,“Pleased to meet you,too.”
(4)学生操练,分组向孟老师进行问候。
(5)句型“I can...”的教学:
①教师与学生进行师生互动,引出句型“I can...”。
T:You're so polite. Now Ms Meng asks you, “Can you be my Chinese pen friend?”
Ss:Yes, I can.
T:Ms Meng asks, “Can you speak English?”
Ss:Yes, I can speak some English.
②教师紧接着板书:I can...(解释句子意思是我会/能做某事,后面加动词原形)
T:I think you can do many things, too.
(用多媒体课件出示各种运动图片)老师示范并引导学生说:I can ride a bike/swim/play basketball...
(6)句型“I can't...”的教学:
①教师用语言导入句型“I can...”。
T:Boys and girls,if you can do the things, you should say “I/We can”. If you can't do the things, you should say “I/We can't”,right?
②教师紧接着板书:I can't...(解释句子意思是我不会/不能做某事,后面加动词原形)(用多媒体课件出示各种运动图片)老师示范并引导学生说:I can't ride a bike/swim/play basketball...
(7)句型“Can you...?”的教学:
①教师与学生进行师生互动,引出句型“Can you...?”
T:Can you play football?
Ss:Yes, I can./No, I can't.
②教师紧接着板书并讲解句型:Can you...? Yes, I can./No, I can't.
通过介绍老师的笔友来呈现本课时涉及到的重点词汇、句型,让学生快速掌握知识点,学生先掌握了重点知识也为后面理解对话内容降低了难度。  
(8)教师播放录音,学生认真听。
(9)教师再次播放录音,学生跟读。
(10)教师带领全班学生朗读,并翻译。
(11)学生三人一组练习对话,然后邀请几组学生表演。
通过让学生跟读,让学生模仿正确的语音、语调,培养学生良好的语感。同时,通过分角色表演,可以促使学生互相帮助,让每一个孩子都体验到成功的喜悦。
Step 3:Practise
记忆大比拼(让学生合上书本,针对活动2的对话内容进行一问一答,看谁的记忆力更好)
T:Who are the two boys?
Ss:Daming and Simon.
T:Are they in China?
Ss:No. They are in New York.
T:Yes. They are in the street of New York. And this is Laura, Simon's friend. Laura is very happy to meet Daming. She says,“Pleased to meet you!”If you are Daming, what should you say?
Ss:Pleased to meet you, too!
T:Great! Where is Laura from?
Ss:Laura is from the UK.
T:Right. And where is Simon from?
Ss:He's from America.
T:And Daming is from...
Ss:China.
T:Can Daming be Laura's Chinese pen friend?
Ss:Yes, of course.
T:How do you know it?
Ss:Daming says,“This is my address in China.”
T:Good job. Can Daming speak English?
Ss:Yes, he can speak some English.
T:Daming can speak some English. Can you speak English?
S:Yes, I can speak some English.
T:Can Laura write to Daming's friends?
Ss:Yes, of course.
T:Can Daming's friends be Laura's pen friends?
Ss:Yes, they can.
Step 4:Consolidation and extension
1.将活动2的对话内容朗读给家长听。
2.完成后面的课时作业。
