本课时为本单元的第四课时,内容为Part B 的Let's learn和Role?play。Let's learn主要学习与书籍有关的词汇,如:dictionary、comic book、word book、 postcard。Role?play通过学生在书店卖书、购书的角色扮演,让学生学习在真实语境中自由地谈论有关购物的话题。
知识目标
1.能够听、说、读、写单词和词组:dictionary,comic book,word book,postcard;
2.能够听、说、读、写句子“—Where are we going?—To the bookstore.I'm going to buy a new comic book”;
3.能够运用所学知识,完成角色扮演。

通过教师教读,让学生反复朗读并拼写以及小组互相抽查的方式,让学生加深对词汇的印象。

2.能够灵活运用所学语言在真实情景中谈论有关购物的话题。
教师采用拆分法教读,让学生模仿并反复朗读;教师创设不同情景,让学生通过小组合作进行角色扮演反复操练相关句型。

2.教师用多媒体展示被遮住一部分的地点图片,让学生猜一猜地点。如:hospital、cinema、post office、park、bookstore。
师生一起说唱帮助学生复习巩固了上课时学习的内容,猜一猜所示图片地点的游戏激发了学生学习的积极性,同时引出了书店的场景,为新课的学习作铺垫。

本部分通过约翰和杰克在电影院门前讨论下一步计划的场景引出本课时学习的单词dictionary、comic、word、postcard和词组comic book、word book。
·教学建议
(1)T:This is a bookstore.What books can you buy in a bookstore?

T:Yes.We also can buy a dictionary.
教师展示词典实物,板书单词dictionary,并用拆分法教读,让学生反复跟读。教师再次展示词典实物,引导学生说:dictionary,并讲解dictionary的复数形式。
(2)教师继续说:We also can buy a comic book.教师展示连环画册实物并板书词组comic book,教师讲解并教读,让学生跟读,并将全班同学分成男生女生两大组反复朗读三遍。
(3)教师接着说:We also can buy a word book.教师展示单词书实物并板书词组word book。教师讲解并教读,让学生跟读。教师呈现单词work,提醒学生注意区分word与work。
(4)教师拿出一张明信片问学生:What's this?学生回答:明信片。教师板书单词postcard,讲解并反复教读。
(5)教师呈现Let's learn的插图,问学生:Who are they?Where are they?学生根据插图回答:They are John and Jack.They are at the cinema.教师再次问学生:Where are they going?Are they going to buy a comic book?然后让学生自行阅读对话并试着回答问题。
(6)教师抽选一名学生回答问题,并带领全班同学一起核对答案。
(7)教师播放录音,让学生跟读,然后要求同桌之间替换书籍名词分角色表演对话。

·教材意图
本部分通过学生在书店购书、卖书的角色扮演,对与书籍有关的单词和词组进行了复习。
·教学建议
(1)学生课前每人准备几本图书,教师仿照Role?play中的情景图片布置好5或6处卖书点。每处卖书点由两三名学生担任销售人员,其他学生自由购书。教师先与学生模仿教材提供的对话,进行示范,也可以结合以前学过的有关购物的句型进行拓展,如:
T:Good morning/afternoon.
S:Good morning/afternoon.
T:What are you going to buy?
S:I'm going to buy a word book.
T:OK,it's 10 yuan.?
S:I'll take it.Thanks.
(2)卖出书本最多的学生获“最佳营销员”奖,其他学生每人至少购得2或3本图书。教师在学生活动过程中应注意观察,对表达困难的学生给予指导,并表扬表现出色的学生。
(3)教师用多媒体展示更多书籍种类及名称,如:novel 小说,magazine 杂志等,开阔学生的视野。
Step 4:Consolidation and extension
1.教师示范书写四会单词和词组,让学生一边仿写一边拼读。
2.教师给每一列的第一名学生一个实物,如:词典、连环画册、单词书、明信片 。然后第一名学生向后传实物,一边传一边说实物的单词或词组,看看哪一列传得最快且说得准确。

本节课中,教师以复习与本课时有关的知识入手,通过猜单词的游戏引出本课时的主要场景:书店。然后以在书店里可以买到哪些书为主题和学生展开会话,一一引出本课时的新词。在单词的教学中,教师先展示实物,吸引学生的注意力,然后再讲解并采用多种方式教读单词。在巩固新知识阶段,教师通过模拟购书、卖书的场景让学生把所学的语言运用到实际生活中来,不仅让学生巩固了所学知识,还让学生体会到了学习英语的乐趣。
