教材简解:
这是牛津译林英语六年级下册第八单元,通过李老师问同学们“What do you want to be? ”以及“Why?”引发关于“我们的梦想”的话题,旨在激发学生心怀梦想并要为之不断努力。
目标预设:
1.帮助学生掌握单词和句型: football player、dancer、writer、dentist、astronaut、pianist/What do you want to be? I want to be a/an…Why?Because…
2.使学生很好地理解故事内容。
3.培养学生正确的价值观:有了梦想就要放手去追,并永不言败。
教学重难点:
1.单词和句型的学习: dentist、astronaut、pianist以及What do you want to be? I want to be a/an… Why?Because…
2.帮助学生高效理解故事内容。
设计理念:
1.新课改下“教师主导,学生主体”的新型教学观。
本课时从充分发挥学生的主观能动性出发,设计了课前预习、小组合作、思维导图秀、等一系列活动,突出学生自主学习。
2.遵循教学原则,选择合适的教学方法。
本课时主要体现了“启发性教学原则”、“巩固性教学原则”“直观性教学原则”。
3.体现素质教育核心:为了每一个学生的全面发展,培养全面发展的人。
课上既要关注全体学生对于知识技能的学习,又要培养其积极的人生观。还要留意班里一小部分薄弱学生,根据其个性差异进行因材施教。
设计思路:
本课时主题是梦想,所以在课前,我布置学生搜索有关梦想方面的知识,在导入时,我选用了形象生动的绘本Willy the dreamer,激发学生学习兴趣,通过提问“What are Willy’s dreams?”学习关于梦想的词汇,同时自然过渡到our dreams(花心贴在黑板上)新授单词时,我利用不同的游戏引出,在巩固单词时,我利用游戏Big bad wolf操练。句型教学时,我让学生猜猜我的梦想,同时板书句型—— What do you want to be? Why?进而让学生讨论他们的梦想。在课文教学时,我让学生观看并圈出文中人物的梦想。对于这些梦想的原因,我把人物分成男女两个角色,让学生充分读透教材并划出答句。根据学生的回答,我继续张贴思维导图花瓣。接着让学生根据思维导图复述课文,最后把时间彻底给学生,让他们选择自己喜欢的方式分组阅读并表演。在巩固环节,我让学生完善自己的思维导图并设计采访活动,充分操练句型。在拓展环节,我播放轻音乐,让学生写写自己的梦想,并收集学生的梦想。最后收尾呼应,还是回到了绘本Willy the dreamer,通过提问“Willy最后实现自己的梦想了吗?”启发学生思考Why,总结:拥有了梦想就要放手去追,并永不言败!最后一步是作业,新课改下的作业布置,更强调交际性和实用性,所以我设置了让学生与朋友谈论理想并阅读更多关于梦想的书籍。
教学过程:
Step1.Warming up
Watch a video about“Willy the dreamer”.
T:What are Willy’s dreams?
S1:A singer. S2:A star. S3:… S4:…
T:Willy has so many dreams. I think all of you have dreams.Right?
So today we’re going to talk about Unit8 Our dreams.(花朵思维导图的中心贴上去,揭题)
Step2.Presentation and practice
Word time
Play a game:Quick respond. (里面含有新词:football player、dancer、writer) Read the three words in different ways.
Guess jobs from pictures and letters.Teach“dentist、astronaut、pianist”mainly.
Read the six words in a game: Big bad wolf.(遇见大灰狼单词,抱头并说“Wolf”)
Sentence time
Guess Emily’s dream.
S1: Emily wants to be a teacher.
T:Yes,I want to be a teacher.See?!Here am I. So my dreams come true.(引出come true,先行教学)
T:And I also have a dream. I want to see all of your dreams come true, so can you tell me your dreams?
Talk about your dreams.(Work in groups.) Then talk freely with T.
T:What do you want to be?
S1: I want to be a boss.
T:Why do you want to be a boss?
S1:Because I want to have a lot of money.
T:What will you do with the money?
S1:I will buy a lot of things.
T:Yeah,maybe you’ll do a charity and help poor people. Right?
S1:Yes.

Story time
T:Look.Miss Li is asking Ss about their dreams,too.

So have a dream,follow your dream and never give up! Don’t let your dreams be dreams.
