The little frog (青蛙) says to the snake:“ Mr snake, don’t eat me. I can do things for you.” “What can you do ” asks the snake. “I can sing. I can dance. But I can’t swim. Good afternoon, everyone. Nice to meet you. I’m number 9. I’m very glad to have this opportunity of standing here. Today I’m going to talk about Part B of Unit 2, PEP primary English book 8.
Part 1: Contents of this lesson
本课围绕“心情”这一题材展开,学习tired,angry,excited,happy,sad等表达自己心情的形容词,让学生掌握如何用英语表达自己的心情并能简单陈述原因。我主要通过引导学生读写单词,通过反复实践,学用结合的方式,利用所学内容操练句型,让学生在教学活动中参与和完成真实的教学任务,从中体验学习的快乐,也更好的促进了学生语言技能的发展。
Part 2 : Teaching aims
1、Knowledge objects:
(1)To enable the Ss to understand and speak five new words and two sentence patterns:tired,angry,excited,happy,sad. How does Amy feel She’s tired.
(2)To be able to describe someone’s mood freely.
(3)To enlarge the Ss’ vocabulary.
2、Ability objects
(1)To develop the Ss’ vocabulary.
(2)To encourage the Ss’s cooperation.

To arouse the Ss’s interest of learning English and to have them participate actively in language communication.

Key points: 使学生熟练掌握四会单词:tired,angry,excited,happy,sad,并能替换句型:“How does Amy feel She’s …”中的关键词进行问答。

Step 1 : Preparation
(1) Free talk between the teacher and the Ss
T: Hello, boys and girls. Nice to meet you.(Ss answer: Fine, thank you. And you ) T: I’m fine. I’m very happy to see you again.
(2)教师播放英文歌曲:“Jingle bells”Clap hands with the Ss, 学生跟唱。(活跃课堂气氛,用多媒体播放歌曲,呈现生动有趣的画面,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。)
Step 2 : Preparation
(1)单词导呈:
a: T:That’s a good song, yes I’m very happy. 板书简笔画及happy单词。T:Today I have a cold. My throat is sore. I’m sad. 然后在黑板上画::“happy face”和“sad face”(学生通过简笔画可形象记忆单词)
b: 展示多媒体课件,母亲劳累了一天的图片。T: Is she happy Is she sad Ss: No. T: No, she’s tired. How does your mother feel She’s tired. 板书tired和句型:“How does…feel? He’s/She’s…”再呈现一段激动人心的足球赛视频,让学生猜猜球迷和球员的感受,从而教授单词excited和angry.
c : 把bored图片和单词卡片贴在黑板上,教师提醒学生:“On the weekend,Mike has nothing to do. How does Mike feel He’s bored”让学生猜单词的意思。
(2)听音正音:播放Let’s learn 部分录音。Let the Ss listen to the tape twice, pay attention to their pronunciation and intonation.
(3)合作学习:教师做出不同的面部表情,让学生猜其中的意思,再通过小组合作的方式认读和检查单词,增强合作意识。
Step 3 : Practice
(1)一名学生做动作,其他学生猜单词:tired,angry…
(2)出示单词卡,教师读单词,让学生把所听到的单词贴在黑板上。
(3)教师把单词的字母打乱,让学生按正确的顺序排列单词。此过程对学生有一定的难度,需反复训练才能熟练完成。
Step 4 : Production
给学生一分钟时间看Pair work部分图片,让他们尽量记住图中人物及表情,然后小组合作完成调查表。
