教学目标
1.掌握单词:language,else,flag,palace,lovely
短语:a map of China,know about,a lot,live in,speak Chinese,five yellow stars,have a long history,etc.
2.掌握和运用关于介绍国家的句型:
—What do you know about China?

—What language do people speak in China?
—They speak Chinese.
—What is the capital city of China?
—Beijing.
—What countries are east of China?
—Canada and the U.S.are east of China.
—China’s flag is red.
—This is the Palace Museum.
—It is famous around the world.
—Pandas live in China.
3.能用本课词汇、短语和句型正确造句,并根据情景正确运用。
4.掌握特殊疑问词的用法。
5.能了解中国的一些情况。
6.认识中国的国旗、名胜和国家动物,激发同学们的爱国热情。
教学内容
1.学会运用关于中国的词或短语:

教学思路
本课时的教学内容是冀教版七年级上册英语第八单元的第三课时,重点在于引导学生谈论中国,从“中国地图”开始,自然地导入谈论中国的话题。以了解中国作为任务引起学生的兴趣,训练学生的听力和口语表达能力。知识目标为掌握本课时新出现的词和短语,表示特殊疑问句的句型。情感目标定为通过话题的学习,能用已经学习的词汇,谈论中国的地理位置、国旗、自然景观、名胜古迹和国家动物。让外国人了解中国的悠久文化,让学生们更加热爱祖国的大好河山。

教学准备
设计教学PPT,录音机,多媒体,相应的插图,表示一些活动的实物、图片和单词卡片。

教学过程
StepⅠ.Lead in
1. Play a Chinese song for the students to lead in.
2. Show a map of the world to the students.Ask the students to find out China.
[设计意图]用音乐暖场,让学生在轻松愉悦的氛围中进入学习状态。
StepⅡ.Presentation
1. Words study:
The teacher should teach the new words and phrases in this part: language, else, flag, palace, lovely,
2. The students try to recite the words.
3. Brain storm: what do you know about China?
[设计意图] 本课内容主要是和中国有关,故在Class Opening 阶段以对话的形式,对相关的词汇、短语和句型进行复习并活跃课堂气氛。同时引入在之后学习中会使用到的词汇。
Step Ⅲ. Listening
1. Listen and get the main ideas.
2. Listen again and fill in the blanks.
(1)People in China speak     .?
(2)The capital of China is     .?
(3)    and     are east of China.?
3. Listen and check the answers.
The students should pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation.
[设计意图] 加深同学们对细节的掌握,学生们在有了一定的信息输入之后,才能在这一部分抓住关键信息,完成听力任务。
Step Ⅳ. Reading
1. Read and fill in the chart.
Read the text first, then ask the students fill the chart using the information in the reading.

2. Role play: Ask the students role play the text with their partners. Choose some students to read in front of the class.

6. Introduction:
Introduce China to Mary.

Write a letter to your friend and introduce China to him.
[设计意图] 复习本课内容,同步课下练习所学内容,并且写一篇关于我们国家的文章。
