(一)序数词
序数词用来表示顺序,常与定冠词连用。其构成多数是基数词后加h。其构成规则如下
(1)基变序,有规律,多数词尾加th。如:
four--fourth;
six--sixth;
ten--tenth;
eleven--eleventh
(2)一、二、三特殊记。如
one--first;
two--second;
three--third
(3)八减t,九去e,f把ve替,然后再加th。如
eight
eighth;
nine--ninth;
five--fifth;
twelve--twelfth
以ty结尾的整十数词,先把y改成ie,然后再加th

(5)假若遇到几十几,只变个位就可以。如

(二)日期
(1)日期的书写。汉语的表达顺序为“年、月、日”,而英语的表达则为“月、日、年”或“日、月、年”。如

(2)日期的朗读。在朗读时,“月份”一般直接用英语读出;“日”则要读成“the+序数词”;读年份时,一般分为两个单位读,前两个为一个单位,后两个为一个单位。如果是三位数,先读百位,再把后两位数合起来读。如
