Michael King had just taken out the money from the bank to cover a business debt he owed. For whatever reason, he was so careless that ne accidentally left his wallet on the top of his car before starting the engine and heading home.
Meanwhile, Steve Harrison, who was heading in the opposite direction noticed something floating in the wind. Quickly realizing it was cash, he pulled over and caught it. He found King's wallet as well.
After pulling into a supermarket parking lot, Harrison counted the money - one hundred $ 100 bills and three singles for a total of $ 10,003.Though it might have been highly attractive to use the windfall, Harrison used his own money to pay for his shopping list.
Then Harrison tracked down King and returned his money and wallet.
“I never took seriously the idea of keeping it,” Harrison told the Times. “It's just simpler to do the right thing. Once I realized that there was an ID involved, I knew I would return the money.”
When the two arranged to meet, King couldn't afford to give Harrison a financial reward. Instead, he presented Harrison with a jar of homemade applesauce(苹果酱) -which he told Harrison was made with love and care by his family. And King isn't stopping there with his appreciation. Harrison has been promised home-smoked fish, homemade blackberry jam, and many more tasty treats in his future, which is a special form of currency that leaves a good taste in anyone's mouth.

There was a time in the past when, if you had surplus(多余的)food in your fridge, you may have knocked on a neighbor's door to see if they wanted it. Now, unfortunately, giving away food may cause embarrassment, so uneaten food often ends up being thrown in the trash.
Olio hopes to change that. This smart food-sharing app allows people with extra food to post a picture online and anyone who wants it can respond and pick it up, usually within minutes or hours of it being posted. No money is exchanged. It's straightforward gift of surplus food to someone who can prevent it from going to waste. You might even make a new friend in the process!
The app was created in 2015 by two businesswomen, Tessa Clarke and Saasha Celestial-One , in England. Since then it has grown rapidly with nearly 3.5 million people using it in 50 countries. The app saw even more people join in throughout 2020, when food insecurity increased due to the pandemic(疫情).
Clarke told the Guardian that, in the United Kingdom, about a third of all food is thrown away - half of it in people's homes.“Each family throws away an average of 730 of food each year,” she said. Olio managed to fix this in a simple way. “The app connects people with others who have surplus food but don't have anyone to give it to because so many people are disconnected from their communities.”
It's a great idea that will hopefully continue to expand around the world as people realize the benefits of sharing food, rather than throwing it away.
28. What is Olio intended to do?
A. Exchange money. B. Stop wasting food. C. Entertain people. D. Protect the environment.
29. Why did many more people start to use Olio in 2020?
A. People were much busier than before. B. People got much closer to their neighbors.
C. People were more worried about food safety. D. Olio was improved and became easier to use.
30. What can be inferred about Olio's future?
A. It will be thrown away. B. It will be more popular.
C. It will be more expensive. D. It will be replaced by other apps.
31. What is the best title of the passage?
A. Order Food through the Internet B. Never Waste Food in Your Fridge
C. Create Peaceful Communities to Do Charity D. Share Surplus Food Using the Olio App

Text 10
Good afternoon! My name's Carl and I work for one of the major companies on High Street. I've been with them for about 13 years now. People often ask me why I decided to do this job. Well, as a young adult, I loved traveling and so went to work right after graduation as a salesman in Spain. I did that for 10 years. When I came back to work within the travel industry here, my experience of working in tourist centers abroad was a great help in getting this job. I have to admit that one of the main reasons I wanted to be a travel agent was that I get cheap flights and holidays. It's a great advantage!
I advise people on the holiday choices available to them, you know, different destinations, types of holidays, ways to get there, and so on. When a customer has decided what he wants, I book it for them and make any other arrangements they may need. It doesn't end there, though. If my customers are flying, I tell them what time they have to check in, and make sure they know what time they will be arriving. I also give information on likely weather conditions and anything else I think will be useful for them.
