Dear

With
the
traditional

Now

Here,

First,
use

chopsticks

at

Second,
bring

Third,

Pania
never
wanted
to
be
a
national
public
figure.
All
she
wanted
to
be
was
a
mother
and
a
homemaker.
But
her
life
was
turned
upside
down
when
a
driver
distracted
by
his
cell
phone,
ran
a
stop
sign
and
crashed
into
the
side
of
her
car.
The
impact
killed
her
two-year-old
daughter.
Four
months
later,
Pania
unwillingly
but
courageously
decided
to
try
to
educate
the
public
and
to
fight
for
laws
to
ban
drivers
from
using
cell
phones
while
a
car
is
moving.
She
wanted
to
save
other
children
from
what
happened
to
her
daughter.
In
her
first
speech,
Pania
got
off
to
a
shaky
start.
She
was
visibly
trembling
and
her
voice
was
soft
and
uncertain.
But
as
she
got
into
her
speech,
a
dramatic
transformation
took
place.
She
stopped
shaking
and
spoke
with
a
strong
voice.
For
the
rest
of
her
talk,
she
was
a
forceful
and
compelling
speaker.
She
wanted
everyone
in
the
audience
to
know
what
she
knew
without
having
to
learn
it
from
a
personal
tragedy.
Many
in
the
audience
were
moved
to
tears,
and
to
action.
In
following
presentations,
Pania
gained
reputation
as
a
highly
effective
speaker.
Her
appearance
on
a
talk
show
was
broadcast
three
times
transmitting
her
message
to
over
14,000,000
people.
Her
campaign
increased
public
awareness
of
the
problem
and
motivated
over
300
cities
and
several
states
to
consider
restrictions
on
cell
phone
use.

Have
you
ever
wanted
to
take
a
closer
look
at
the
stars
and
see
some
of
the
coolest
parts
of
our
universe?
Then
you'll
need
a
telescope,
a
big
one.
The
Hubble
Space
Telescope
is
the
biggest,
the
most
delicate
and
the
most
complex
astronomical
telescope
ever.
Hubble
is
eight
feet
across
and
44
feet
long
and
it
weighs
more
than
25,
000
pounds.
So
it
is
much
bigger
than
any
telescope
that
you've
ever
used
from
your
backyard.
It
orbits
the
earth
at
an
altitude
of
600
kilometers.
NASA
fuels
it

the
largest
power

we

the

with
two
large

sunlight.
The
Hubble
Space
Telescope
is
not
only
big
in
size
and
low
on
energy.
It's
also
fast.
It
travels
around
the
Earth
at
about
28,000
kilometers
per
hour,
so
about
17,398
miles
per
hour.
And
it
orbits
the
earth
every
hour
and

In
the
Brazilian
Amazon,
a
species
of
monkey
called
the
pied
tamarin(绢毛猴)is
fighting
for
survival,
threatened
by
habitat
loss
and
urban
development.
But
the
severely
endangered
animals
faces
another
enemy:
the
red
-
handed
tamarin,
a
monkey
that
lives
in
the
same
region.
They
compete
for
the
same
resources,
and
the
red
-
handed
tamarinds
habitat
range
is
expanding
into
that
of
the
pied
tamarins'.
Their
conflicts
sometimes
end
in
violent
argument.
But
in
a
recent
study,
scientists
have
discovered
that
the
red
-
handed
tamarin
is
changing
its
vocal
calls
to
better
communicate
with
the
pied
tamarin.
Tainara
Sobroza,
an
ecology
Ph.
D.
student
who
worked
on
the
study,
says
these
calls
are
used
to
warn
other
species
that
they
are
invading
their
territory,
or
coming
too
close
to
a
crucial
survival
resource.
"When
this
happens?
the
two
species
usually
engage
in
vocal
battles,"
she
says,
which
sometimes
prevent
the
violent
physical
battles
between
the
two
species.
Researchers
compared
the
change
in
calls
to
speaking
with
an
accent,
"They
might
need
to
say
'tomahto'
instead
of
'tomato
—
that's
the
kind
of
delicate
difference
in
the
accent,
so
that
they
can
really
understand
each
other,"
Jacob
Dunn,
a
professor
of
evolutionary
biology
who
worked
on
the
study,
told
The
Guardian.
When
analyzing
the
vocal
call
of
both
species,
the
scientists
discovered
that
the
red
-
handed
tamarins,
new
call
has
a
narrower
bandwidth
(带宽)and
an
increased
amplitude
(振幅),making
the
sound
clearer
and
the
duration
of
the
call
longer.
The
result
is
a
call
that
travels
better
through
the
thick
forest.
The
hope
is
that
this
work
will
help
conservationists
to
better
design
reserves
and
other
survival
chances
for
the
pied
tamarins.
And
because
these
two
species
are
so
rarely
seen
physically
in
the
same
space,
listening
is
one
way
to
do
that
work.
"We
don't
have
to
actually
see,"
Sabroza
says.
"We
can
hear
the
ecological
interaction.
"
32.

do
we
know
about
the
pied
tamarins?
A.
They

the
urban
areas.
C.
They
are
competing
with
each
other

D.

33.
What
is
the
purpose
of
the
change
in
calls
according
to
the
survey?
A.
To
engage
in
physical
battles.
B.
To
better
communicate
with
each
other.
C.
To

根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Habits
that
Make
Great
Opportunities
Happen
We
all
know
someone
who
seems
always
coming
across
great
new
jobs,
coming
up
with
new
business
ideas
or
meeting
the
right
people.
Some
people
might
owe
it
all
to
luck.
36
If
you
were
to
observe
these
people
closely,
you'd
find
they've
developed
habits
that
help
make
opportunities
appear
more
frequently.
If
you
want
better
opportunities,
you
need
to
watch
these
habits;
●
Look
for
challenges
How
often
have
People
discovered
opportunity
simply
because
they
took
up
a
challenge?
37
Ideas
and
inventions
have
come
from
them.
Because
after
you've
overcome
all
the
obstacles
and
barriers
that
go
into
the
challenge,
you'll
get
the
reward
that
lies
on
the
other
side.
●
Be
sure
of
yourself
Believe
in
your
actions
and
everything
that
you
do.
When
you
have
enough
confidence
in
yourself,
you're
showing
the
world
that
what
you're
doing
is
right
and
then
others
would
pay
attention.
38
.
●
39
You
have
your
unique
skills
that
set
you
apart
from
everyone
else.
So
you
bring
out
your
best
work
and
people
will
take
notice.
Instead
of
having
to
search
out
opportunities,
they'll
start
coming
to
you.
●
Pay
attention
to
what's
going
on
around
you
Those
who
take
time
to
look
at
the
world
tend
to
see
things
others
don't.
They
notice
what's
happening,
which
makes
them
the
first
people
to
spot
opportunity.
Look
at
what
the
world
around
you
needs.
40
A.
Work
on
what
you
can
offer.
B.
Curiosity
is
a
valuable
quality.
C.
Make
opportunities
come
to
you.
D.
But
maybe
something
else
is
going
on.
E.
Businesses
have
been
created
out
of
challenges.
F.
From
there,
good
opportunities
will
start
to
appear.
G.
Eventually
you'll
see
things
other
people
overlook.

It
was
a
very
busy
day
with
a
number

client

for
me.
But
I
had
a
very
important
family
document
that
needed
to
be

by
a
large
government
department.
Actually,
this
was
my

visit
to
the
department.
As
I

out

on

it

a(an)
42
to
find
that
there
were
only
two
people
ahead
of
me
in
what
I
had
43
would
be
a
long
queue.
So
I
believed
that
it
would
be
a
simple
and
quick
44
.
45
,
when
I
was
at
the
service
counter,
the
customer
service
attendant
told
me
that
my
document
was
incomplete,
refusing
to

To
say
the
least
I
was
very
46
with
his
overly
strict
explanation
of
what
needed
to
be
done.
I
asked
him
47
there
was
any
way
he
could
help
me
to
have
the
document
signed
on
the
48
.
His
answer
was
not
what
I
wanted
to
hear
and
he
handed
me
some
49
forms
that
I
would
need
to
take
away
and
finish.
Then
I
asked
to
speak
to
the
department
supervisor
(主管)to
50
what
I
believed
to
be
some
very
minor
51
.
After
a
short
wait,
the
supervisor
52
the
counter
and
started
his
53
with
me
by
asking
how
he
could
help
me.
On
hearing
my
explanation,
he
54
quickly
by
saying
the
words
we
55
like
to
hear.
"If
we
can
do
this
now,
I
can
56
to
have
the
document
signed
immediately
and
you
can
be
on
your
way”.
Within
ten
minutes,
the
document
was
signed.
At
that
moment,
I
57
I
was
indeed
very
fortunate
that
the

I
had
58
had
an
attitude
that

and
was
so

and

so
