知识梳理
(1)．肯定句由“主语＋动词的过去式”构成．例如：
He was a pupil two years ago.
My watch worked well yesterday.
(2)．否定句由“主语＋be（was／were）＋not…”或“主语+didn’t+动词原形构成。例如：
He wasn’t a pupil two years ago.
My watch didn’t work yesterday.

(3).　一般疑问句：提前be或者加助动词did．例如：
Was he a pupil two years ago?
Did your watch work well yesterday?
(4)．特殊疑问句由“特殊疑问词＋一般疑问句”构成．例如
What was he two years ago?
When was he a pupil?
How did your watch work yesterday?

(5)一般过去时的否定句、疑问句
e.g. ：I stayed at her home last night.
→ I didn't stay at her home last night.
→ Did you stay at her home last night?
Yes, I did. / No, I didn’t.
e.g.：They cleaned the room this morning.
→ They didn't clean the room this morning.
→ Did they clean the room this morning?

考点二 一般过去时态常见的基本用法
(1).表示过去某个时间所发生的动作或存在的状态。
常和表示过去的时间状语yesterday, last week, an hour ago, just now等连用。
例如： Liu Jie got up at 7: 10 this morning.
　　 He was a student three years ago.
(2) 表示在过去经常或反复发生的动作。
常与often, always等表示频度的副词连用。
例如：When I was a child, I often played football in the street.

(3)动词过去式的构成规则:
动词后加ed .如work-worked
以不发音的e结尾的词加d. 如live-lived
以辅音字母+y结尾的改y为i 后加ed .如study-studied
重读闭音节结尾的双写最后一个字母再加ed. 如stop-stopped
(4)与一般过去时连用的时间状语。
yesterday ，morning (afternoon, evening) ，last night／ year ，a moment ago ，an hour ago ，on Friday ，on Monday morning，often, always ，just now， once ，after a few years 等。

备考技法
动词一般过去时， 表示过去发生事；
be用was或用were, have,has变had；
谓语动词过去式， 过去时间做标志；
一般动词加-ed， 若是特殊得硬记。
否定句很简单， 主语之后didn’t添；
疑问句也不难， did放在主语前；
如果谓语之前有did， 谓语动词需还原；
动词若是was,were, 否定就把not添。
