What’s the main trouble when correcting a composition
1. 看不出句子有错。
2. 看出句子出错的地方, 但无法改正。
3. 知道改正句子错误的地方, 但答案不正确。
短文改错的文章内容浅显，词数为100左右，多采用记叙文文体，偶尔也有说明文和应用文。高考英语短文改错的考点涵盖知识的领会、运用、分析、综合等诸多方面，考查目标既涉及语言知识的多个方面（词法、句法、语篇结构、行文逻辑等），又涵盖理解、分析、运用和整体思维等诸方面能力。10行中一般只有一行全部正确，其他9行都存在错误。各种错误所占比例为
1：3：6
即: 1行正确；
3行缺词或多词；
6行需要找出错误并改正。

常见错误类型
一、动词形
主要包括三类错误：动词的时态和语态错误，以及主谓不一致的错误。
2007四川卷：

二、名词数
指名词单、复数形式的用法错误。常表现为将名词复数写成单数。
2008全国卷Ⅰ：I ’d like to staying there for half a month, visiting place of interest or practicing my English as well.

2006陕西卷：
They have all sorts of course. I’m sure you will find one you like it.

三、还要注意形和副
注意形容词和副词在句子中的作用和具体用法。这也是高考短文改错题的常考点。

四、非谓语，细辨别
这是考查最多的错误形式之一。主要有现在分词、过去分词，动名词和不定式错误。

与句子的上、下文不一致，甚至相矛盾，属于逻辑性错误，如称谓上的张冠李戴。
2006四川卷：That night，we sat down to what they thought would be a pleasant, uninterrupted meals.
