of
Chinatown

York.”
“And
what
about
this
one?”
Tom
asks.
“That’s
a
picture
of
Hong
Kong.
It’s
from
Dad’s
friend,
Mr
Xu.”
“
You’ve
got
lots
of
postcards,
”
says
Tom.“
Yes,
I
love
postcards,”
says
Mum.
“I
collect
them.”
“I
want
to
collect
something
too,”
Tom
thinks
and
walks
into
the
sitting
room(起居室).
Dad
is
at
his
desk.
“What
are
those,
Dad?”
asks
Tom.
“This
is
my
stamp
collection(收藏品）,”
says
Dad.
“It’s
very
old.”
“Can
I
collect
stamps
too?”
asks
Tom.
“Yes,”
says
Dad.
“But
we
don’t
get
many
letters
now.
People
send
emails.”
“Oh,”
says
Tom.
“I
want
to
collect
something
too,”
Tom
thinks
and
goes
to
his
room.
He
looks
at
his
shelves.
He’s
got
some
colouring(着色）books,
but
that
isn’t
a
collection.
He
opens
his
toy
box.
He’s
got
some
cars,
but
that
isn’t
a
collection.
He
counts(数）his
balls.
“One,
two,
three.”
That
isn’t
a
collection.
Tom
goes
back
to
the
sitting
room.
“You
don’t
look
very
happy,
Tom,”
Dad
says.
“I
want
to
collect
something,”
says
Tom.
“Well,”
says
Dad,
“I
have
an
idea.”
He
opens
a
drawer（抽屉）
in
his
desk.
He
takes
out
a
small
box.
“This
is
from
Uncle
Fred,”
he
says.
“Oh
yes,”
says
Tom.
“Uncle
Fred
is
a
pilot.”
（飞行员）“That’s
right,”
says
Dad.
“And
he
has
sent
you
some
model（模型）planes.
Look!”
Tom
looks
in
the
box.
There
are
four
small
planes.
“These
are
from
different
airlines（航空公司）,”
says
Dad.
“This
one
is
Japanese.This
one
is
Mexican（墨西哥的）.
This
one
is
American.
And
this
one
is
Chinese.
Uncle
Fred
knows
you
love
planes.”
“Wow!”
says
Tom.
“You
can
have
them
now.”
says
Dad.
“You
can
start
a
plane
collection.”
