　What’s your favorite subject? 你最喜欢的学科是什么？
“What’s your favorite…?”常用来询问对方最喜欢的事物。意为“你最喜欢的……是……?”,其答语常用 “My favorite…is…”或 “…is my favorite.”

— Banana.

——我最喜欢的颜色是蓝色。
favorite 可与 like…best 进行同义句转换。
— What’s your favorite color?
= What color do you like best?
— My favorite color is blue.
= Blue is my favorite color.
why是疑问副词, 意为“为什么”, 用来询问做某事的原因。“Why+一般疑问句”构成的特殊疑问句，其答语一般由 because 引导。
—— 为什么有些人喜欢看电视?
—— 因为它是令人放松的。
— Why do some people like watching TV?
— Because it’s relaxing.
Why do you like P.E.? 你为什么喜欢体育？

= Why don't you do sth.?
常用来提建议。
为什么不去公园呢？
Why not go to the park?
= Why don’t you go to the park?
I like Monday because I have P.E. and history.
我喜欢星期一，因为我上体育课和历史课。
because意为“因为”，用于回答由why引导的疑问句。because也可以用来引导原因状语从句，但不可以与so (所以) 同时出现。
He can’t go with us, because he is very busy.
= He is very busy, so he can’t go with us.
