Yi

Heavenly
Queen.

fairy

she

she
swallowed
it,
her
body
started
to
lift
off
the
ground
and
she
flew
to
the
sky.
Chang’e
missed
her
husband

much
that
she
flew
to
the
moon
which
was
nearest
to
the
earth
to
be
a
fairy.
In
the
evening,
Hou
Yi
went
back
home
and
knew
what
had
happened,
feeling
shocked
and
angry.
He
took
out
his
sword
and
decided
to
kill
Peng
Meng,
but
Peng
Meng
had
already
run
away.
Hou
Yi
was
desperate
and
shouted
Chang’e’s
name
to
the
night
sky.
Suddenly,
he
found
that
the
moon
was
bright
and
his
wife
Chang’e
was
waggling
on
the
moon.
Hou
Yi
ordered
his
apprentice
to
take
out
Chang’e’s
favourite
fruit
and
dessert
to
show
his
yearning
for
his
wife.
People
knew
the
story
and
prepared
delicious
food
to
pray
for
Chang’e.
Ever
since,
the
custom
has
spread
quickly.

day

Chang’e
flew
to
the
moon
was
August
15th,
so
people
call
it
