学情分析:
本节课的教学对象是淮北市第二中学八年级学生。英语语言基础较好,阅读能力强;学习热情教高,乐于集体探索研究,课堂积极配合教师进行语言活动。
本班学生绝大多数是城镇户口,平时周末课外补习较多,艺体特长训练也很频繁。所以学生们对压力问题感触很深,共鸣处颇多。针对此情况,英语教师可以顺利展开本课阅读话题。
学生已有语言知识水平:根据Units(1-3)语言点,八年级学生已经掌握了情态动词could,couldn’t以及引申拓展的情态动词should,shouldn’t的用法。表示建议的句型“Why
don’t
you...?”学生们可以利用所学语言点谈论解决压力的问题的建议。八年级学生已经掌握一些基本的阅读技能,但是就篇章推断,个别生词词义还有其他的一些阅读策略学生们还需要下功夫学习。
学生的学习困难:生词量大,语篇较长,段落大意总结。
