形容词的比较级
一、用法
用于两者(人或物)之间的比较。
二、构成
(一)规则变化:
1.单音节一般在词尾加-er,如:
cold
colder,
tall
taller，short
shorter,
small-
smaller
2.单音节词以字母e结尾的,只加r,如:
large
larger,fine-finer.
nice
nicer
3.以只有一个辅音字母结尾的重读闭音节的单词,要双写词尾的字母再加er,如:
big
bigger,thin-
thinner,
hot-hotter,wet-wetter。
4.以“辅音字母十y”结尾的双音节词,先变“y”为“i”,再加-er,
n:
early
earlier,
busy
busier,
easy
easier,
heavy
heavier
,dry-
drier。
5.多音节词或部分双音节词在前面加more,如:
beautiful-more
beautiful,
careful-more

6.部分双音节词的比较级有两种变化方式,如

(二)除此之外,还有几个特殊的单词,它们的比较级和最高级都是不规则的,如:
many/much(原形)-more(比较级)most(最高级)
little/few(原形)-less(比较级)-

worse(比较级)

常用句式
Which/Who....,
A
or
B?
or与选择疑问句相连,且有两者提供选择,前面的形容词要用比较级形式。
如:
Which

orange?水和橘子汁,你更喜欢哪一种?
(2)get/become....and....
get/
become后面接“比较级+and+比较级”,这是表示“变得越来越……”。若比较级是“原级十er”构成的,则用“比较级and+比较级”的形式。如比较级是多音节词,就用“
more

more+原级”结构
如:
Your

and
better.你的英语越来越好了

beautiful.你越来越漂亮了。
(3)"the+比较级+
of
the
two.”表示“两者中较……的”。如:
Vince
is
the
taller
of
the
two.文斯是两个中较高的一个。
(4)"the+比较级,the+比较级”,此句型表示“越“…,就越如:
The
higher
you
stand,
the
farther
you
will
see.你站得越高,就看得越远。
(5)“+be+as+形容词原形十as+..”,意思是和一样”。
如:
I'm
as
tall
as
you.我和你一样高
注意:
(1)有些形容词是没有比较级的,如:
Chinese,Japanese等表示国家的形容词;还有
right,
wrong,dead,
empty等含义较为绝对的词等。
(2)
much,
even,
still,
a
little,a
bit等修饰词.
在比较级前常用much(…得多),even(甚至),
still
e(更),a
little(一点),abit(有点)等来修饰形容词或副词的比较级,表示程度进一步加深。如:
