第二部分
阅读理解(共两节,满分50分)
第一节
(共15小题;每小题2.5分,满分37.5分)(改编)
阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
A
You
haven’t
truly
visited
a
city
until
you’ve
experienced
its
nightlife.
Watching
a
big
city
like
London
gradually
turn
dark
and
darker
into
the
night
is
a
beautiful
journey
of
time
and
light.
So
how
about
taking
a
historical
evening
walk
and
touching
some
of
the
nicest
areas
in
central
London?
Let’s
get
started.
6:30
pm
The
walk
starts
on
the
Millennium
Bridge.
On
the
bridge,
watch
the
scenic
city
across
the
River
Thames
with
the
skyscrapers
gradually
lighting
up
against
the
darkening
skies.
The
Millennium
Bridge
has
been
featured
in
many
London-based
films,
including
Harry
Potter,
and
the
film
Guardians
of
the
Galaxy.
7:30
pm
It’s
getting
dark.
A
fifteen-minute
walk
northwest
from
St
Paul’s
Cathedral
takes
you
to
the
historic
Borough
Market.
During
the
evenings,
you
find
a
lot
of
restaurants
around
the
market.
This
is
an
excellent
time
to
get
your
dinner.
9:00
pm
The
next
stop
is
London
Bridge.
This
is
about
6
minutes’
walk
from
the
Borough
Market.
As
you
join
other
onlookers
and
mentally
go
through
the
nursery
school
rhyme
of
“London
Bridge
is
Falling
Down”,
you
get
lost
again
in
history.
Why
does
the
song
say
London
Bridge
is
falling
and
who
is
the
fair
lady?
During
the
London
city
fire
of
1897,
London
Bridge
served
an
important
role
in
fire
control.
It
was
one
of
the
major
structures
that
prevented
the
fire
from
crossing
over
to
the
other
side
of
London.
11:30
pm
London
never
sleeps;
it’s
a
few
minutes
to
midnight
and
everywhere
is
still
filled
with
people
moving
around.
About
four
minutes
away
from
the
Golden
Jubilee
Bridges
is
Trafalgar
Square,
our
next
stop.
12:00
am
It’s
been
a
beautiful
evening,
hasn’t
it?
21.
Where
can
you
visit
a
Guardians
of
the
Galaxy
filming
location?
A.
In
the
St
Paul’s
Cathedral.
B.
On
the
Millennium
Bridge.
C.
In
the
Borough
Market.
D.
On
the
Golden
Jubilee
Bridges.
22.
What
can
be
learned
about
the
Borough
Market?
A.
It
is
far
from
London
Bridge.
B.
It
is
related
to
a
famous
song.
C.
It
is
an
ideal
place
for
dinner.
D.
It
is
a
modern
open-air
market.
23.
What
is
the
main
purpose
of
the
text?
A.
To
show
London’s
colorful
culture.
B.
To
introduce
the
scenery
in
London.
C.
To
ask
people
to
do
outdoor
activities.
D.
To
recommend
a
night
tour
in
London.
B
In
the
summer
of
2016,
I
gave
a
talk
at
a
small
conference
in
northern
Virginia.
I
began
by
admitting
that
I’d
never
had
a
social-media
account;
I
then
outlined
arguments
for
why
other
people
should
consider
removing
social
media
from
their
lives.
The
event
organizers
uploaded
the
video
of
my
talk
to
YouTube.
Then
it
was
shared
repeatedly
on
Facebook
and
Instagram
and,
eventually,
viewed
more
than
five
million
times.
I
was
both
pleased
and
annoyed
by
the
fact
that
my
anti-social-media
talk
had
found
such
a
large
audience
on
social
media.
I
think
of
this
event
as
typical
of
the
love-hate
relationships
many
of
us
have
with
Facebook,
Instagram,
and
other
social-media
platforms.
On
the
one
hand,
we’ve
grown
cautious
about
the
so-called
attention
economy,
which,
in
the
name
of
corporate(公司的)
profits,
destroys
social
life
gradually
and
offends
privacy.
But
we
also
benefit
from
social
media
and
hesitate
to
break
away
from
it
completely.
Not
long
ago,
I
met
a
partner
at
a
large
law
firm
in
Washington,
D.C.,
who
told
me
that
she
keeps
Instagram
on
her
phone
because
she
misses
her
kids
when
she
travels;
looking
through
pictures
of
them
makes
her
feel
better.
In
recent
months,
some
of
the
biggest
social-media
companies,
Facebook
and
Twitter,
in
particular,
have
promised
various
reforms.
In
March,
Mark
Zuckerberg
announced
a
plan
to
move
his
platform
toward
private
communication
protected
by
end-to-end
encryption(端对端加密);
later
that
month,
he
put
forward
the
establishment
of
a
third-party
group
to
set
standards
for
acceptable
content.
All
of
these
approaches
assume
that
the
reformation
of
social
media
will
be
a
complex,
lengthy,
and
gradual
process.
But
not
everyone
sees
it
that
way.
Alongside
these
official
responses,
a
loose
collective
of
developers
that
calls
itself
the
IndieWeb
has
been
creating
another
alternative.
They
are
developing
their
own
social-media
platforms,
which
they
say
will
preserve
what’s
good
about
social
media
while
getting
rid
of
what’s
bad.
They
hope
to
rebuild
social
media
according
to
principles
that
are
less
corporate
and
more
humane(人道的).
24.
Why
did
the
author
feel
annoyed
when
his
video
was
spread
online?
A.
His
video
caused
many
arguments.
B.
His
video
was
shared
without
his
permission.
C.
His
talk
was
opposed
by
a
large
amount
of
people.
D.
His
video’s
popularity
on
social
media
is
against
his
talk.
25.
Why
does
the
author
mention
the
story
of
his
partner
in
paragraph
2?
A.
To
prove
that
social
media
has
some
benefits.
B.
To
advise
people
to
break
away
from
social
media.
C.
To
tell
the
negative
effects
social
media
may
produce.
D.
To
describe
people’s
complicated
relationships
with
social
media.
26.
What
is
the
purpose
of
the
reform
made
by
some
social-media
companies?

To
attract
more
users.

To
improve
network
environment.
C.
To
make
more
profits.

does
the
IndieWeb
intend
to
do?
A.
Develop
new
social-media
platforms.
B.
Remove
social
media
from
people’s
lives.
C.
Improve
the
existing
social-media
principles.
D.
Help
social-media
companies
to
make
reformation.
C
Sometimes
people
make
history.
George
Washington
became
the
first
president
of
the
United
States
and
made
history.
Sometimes
wars
make
history.
The
two
World
Wars
are
examples.
Sometimes
nature
even
becomes
part
of
history.
Shaking
earthquakes
are
recorded
in
history
books.
Sixteen
years
ago,
nature
caused
just
such
a
history-making
event.
In
September
2005,
Hurricane
Katrina
came
ashore
in
New
Orleans,
Louisiana.
The
deadly
storm
flooded
New
Orleans.
Before
Katrina,
no
other
big
American
city
had
ever
flooded
in
the
history
of
the
country.
This
natural
disaster
caused
great
harm
and
death.
New
Orleans
is
located
below
sea
level.
This
location
places
it
at
great
risk.
Levees
were
built
to
protect
New
Orleans
from
the
ocean.
(A
levee
is
like
a
wall
between
the
city
and
the
ocean.)
When
Hurricane
Katrina
came
ashore,
water
moved
over
the
levees
into
the
city.
Flooding
made
it
necessary
for
everyone
to
leave
the
city.
Before
Katrina,
Creole
food
(a
special
kind
of
cooking
only
in
Louisiana)
filled
the
air
with
delicious
smells.
The
sound
of
jazz
music
traveled
through
the
streets.
Now
the
city
has
to
return
to
its
former
glory.
Before
Katrina,
the
U.S.
government
had
never
made
everyone
leave
a
city.
People
in
New
Orleans
had
to
find
shelter
quickly.
Some
had
to
stay
at
the
Superdome
Sports
Center.
Some
rode
on
buses
to
other
towns.
Thousands
drove
their
cars
to
get
away
from
the
storm.
The
roads
and
shelters
filled
up
fast.
The
lesson
learned
from
Katrina
was
that
cities
must
be
better
prepared
for
big
storms
and
other
terrible
disasters
caused
by
nature.
Being
prepared
might
have
kept
more
people
safe.
Hurricane
Katrina
is
one
of
the
history-making
events
that
will
be
remembered
forever.
Today,
history
is
still
being
made
that
will
shape
the
future.
28.
What
does
the
author
tell
us
about
New
Orleans?
A.
It
was
built
above
sea
level.
B.
It
had
few
jazz
musicians
after
Katrina.
C.
It
was
the
first
U.S.
city
that
had
been
flooded.
D.
It
created
a
wholly
new
way
to
cook
after
Katrina.
29.
What
can
we
say
about
the
levees?
A.
They
were
almost
useless
for
fighting
Katrina.
B.
They
helped
people
leave
New
Orleans
quickly.
C.
They
made
New
Orleans
a
special
American
city.
D.
They
should
be
built
to
match
the
size
of
New
Orleans.
30.
What
might
the
author
advise
city
governments
to
do?
A.
Put
up
more
shelters
in
the
city.
B.
Build
more
levees
around
the
city.
C.
Teach
people
how
to
avoid
floods.
D.
Try
to
get
ready
for
natural
disasters.
31.
What
is
the
best
title
for
the
text?
A.
Storms
are
dangerous
B.
Katrina
makes
history
C.
Floods
shape
Louisiana
D.
History
must
be
remembered
D
Did
you
know
people
who
live
in
different
parts
of
China
have
different
habits
and
preferences?
For
example,
people
from
southern
China
prefer
to
eat
vegetables,
while
people
from
north
China
like
to
eat
meat.
According
to
a
new
study
in
a
journal,
gene
variations
(变异)
might
be
responsible
for
these
differences.
Researchers
from
China’s
BGI
collected
genetic
information
from
141,431
Chinese
women,
who
came
from
31
provinces
and
consisted
of
36
ethnic
minority
groups.
They
found
that
natural
selection
has
played
an
important
role
in
the
ways
that
people
living
in
different
regions
of
China
have
developed,
affecting
their
food
preferences,
immunities
(免疫力)
to
illness
and
physical
features.
A
variation
of
the
gene
FADS2
is
more
commonly
found
in
northern
people.
It
helps
people
metabolize
(新陈代谢)
fatty
acids,
which
suggests
a
diet
that
is
rich
in
flesh.
This
is
due
to
climate
differences.
Northern
China
is
at
a
higher
latitude.
This
weather
is
difficult
to
grow
vegetables
in.
Therefore,
northerners
tend
to
eat
more
meat.
The
study
also
found
differences
in
the
immune
systems
of
both
groups.
Most
people
in
southern
China
carry
the
gene
CR1,
which
protects
against
malaria.
Malaria
was
once
quite
common
in
southern
China.
In
order
to
survive,
the
genes
of
people
in
the
south
evolved
to
fight
against
this
disease.
However,
people
in
the
south
are
also
more
sensitive
to
certain
illnesses,
as
they
lack
the
genes
to
stop
them.
Genes
can
also
cause
physical
differences
between
northerners
and
southerners.
Most
northerners
have
the
ABCC11
gene,
which
causes
dry
earwax,
less
body
smell
and
fewer
sweats.
These
physical
differences
are
also
more
beneficial
to
living
in
cold
environments.
Southerners
are
less
likely
to
have
this
gene,
as
it
did
not
develop
in
their
population.
32.
What
did
the
new
study
focus
on?
A.
Regions.
B.
Eating
habits.
C.
Gene
variations.
D.
Ethnic
minority
groups.
33.
What
is
the
main
function
of
the
gene
FADS2?
A.
It
helps
store
fat.
B.
It
helps
digest
meat.
C.
It
helps
gain
weight.
D.
It
helps
treat
an
illness.
34.
According
to
the
study,
most
northerners
________.
A.
sweat
less
frequently
B.
are
immune
to
malaria
C.
prefer
vegetables
to
meat
D.
are
more
sensitive
to
climates
35.
How
many
differences
did
the
study
find
related
to
genes?
A.
Two.
B.
Three.
C.
Four.
D.
Five.

阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出可以填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
Being
a
leader
can
be
exhausting.
Serving
as
a
role
model
can
leave
leaders
feeling
tired
and
in
need
of
refreshment.____36____.
Fortunately,
research
provides
the
answer.
In
their
leisure
time,
leaders
need
to
stop
drawing
on
the
resources
they
used
up
at
work.____37____.
For
example,
Bill
Gates
takes
regular
“Think
Weeks”,
during
which
he
stays
alone
in
a
remote
cabin.
____38____.
Needs
come
in
two
forms—physical
and
psychological.
Physical
needs
include
things
like
sleep.
An
adequate
amount
of
sleep
may
be
the
most
important
recovery
mechanism.
Leaders
also
have
the
psychological
needs
to
feel
competent
and
to
have
satisfying
relationships.
Reshma
Saujani,
the
CEO
of
Girls
Who
Code,
satisfies
her
needs
to
freely
select
activities
by
scheduling
“me
time”
with
herself.
Leaders
need
to
relax.
____39____.
If
leaders
are
away
from
the
office
but
still
answering
emails
and
responding
to
texts,
they
can’t
get
psychologically
relaxed
and
won’t
be
fully
refreshed.
Mark
Cuban
accomplishes
this
by
putting
away
his
phone
when
he’s
at
home.
This
allows
him
to
distance
himself
from
work.
____40____.
Hobbies
let
us
take
advantage
of
resources
that
are
different
from
those
we
use
at
work,
satisfy
our
needs
to
feel
competent
and
freely
choose
how
to
spend
our
time,
and
mentally
absorb
ourselves
so
we
forget
about
our
work
roles
and
obligations.
Any
hobby
will
do.
A.
Put
work
out
of
their
mind
B.
Scientists
have
carried
out
some
research
C.
Hobbies
are
the
only
solution
to
the
question
D.
Leaders
should
give
those
resources
a
break
to
get
back
to
their
best
E.
One
activity
that
can
satisfy
all
of
these
requirements
is
a
hobby
F.
Leaders
need
to
satisfy
their
needs
G.
The
question
is
what
is
the
best
way
for
leaders
to
refresh
themselves

读后续写(满分25分)(改编)
67.
阅读下面短文,根据其内容和所给段落开头语续写两段,使之构成一个完整的短文。
“If
mum
finds
out
that
I'm
going
to
the
beach,
I'll
be
in
big
trouble.”
I
said
to
myself
softly
in
a
low
voice.
I
went
downstairs
slowly
and
tried
to
walk
casually
into
the
kitchen.
As
I
was
walking
towards
the
back
door,
mum
asked
without
looking
up
from
her
dish-washing,
“Where
are
you
going?”
I
answered
back
without
hesitation,
“I
am
going
to
the
garden
to
play.”
After
I
got
out
of
the
kitchen,
I
breathed
a
sign
of
relief.
My
plan
had
worked
out
fine
so
far.
I
climbed
the
fence
and
jumped
onto
the
muddy
field
next
to
my
house
and
started
running
towards
the
bus
stop
at
top
speed.
After
half
an
hour
I
was
at
the
beach
scanning
the
crowd
for
my
friends,
Jimmy
and
Bobby.
Two
young
men
were
racing
in
the
canoes
(独木舟).
After
a
while,
I
saw
them
near
a
coconut
tree.
I
ran
towards
them
and
got
into
my
swimming
trunk
(游泳裤).
For
about
an
hour,
we
played
volleyball
happily.
Suddenly,
Bobby
hit
the
ball
too
hard
and
the
ball
fell
into
the
sea.
Just
as
Bobby
was
going
to
pick
up
the
ball,
the
tide
came
in
and
carried
the
ball
further
and
further
away
from
the
shore.
I
wanted
to
show
off
my
swimming
skills
so
I
declared
to
help
get
the
ball
for
him.
I
dived
into
the
water
and
started
swimming
at
a
steady
pace.
After
swimming
for
about
ten
minutes,
I
became
tired
but
when
I
saw
that
the
ball
was
only
a
few
feet
away
from
me,
I
put
in
an
extra
burst
of
speed.
However,
just
as
I
was
going
to
get
the
ball,
a
very
strong
current
swept
the
ball
further
away
from
me.
At
that
moment,
a
string
of
weed
(海草)
tangled
(缠绕)
up
with
my
feet
and
I
could
not
swim
properly.
I
struggled
to
keep
afloat
but
it
was
no
use.
“If
I
had
listened
to
my
parents,
this
would
never
have
happened,”
I
thought
silently.

Finally,
after

Miller.
W:
Right.
Mr.
Miller.
My
name
is
Laura
Elliot.
I
remember
you.
You
gave
a
great
presentation
at
the
conference
last
November
in
San
Francisco.
It
was
really
an
impressive
speech.
You
looked
so
confident.
M:
Oh.Thanks
for
saying
so.
I’m
going
to
attend
this
year’s
conference
next
month.
That’s
on
March
12th,
right?
W:
Yes,that’s
right.
And
I’m
supposed
to
make
a
presentation
this
year.This
will
be
the
first
time
for
me
to
present
in
front
of
such
a
large
audience,
so
I’m
kind
of
anxious.
I’ll
see
you
then.

I

My

engine
suddenly
stopped
in

of
a

road.
When
I
got
out
of
my
car
to
check
the

I
accidentally
locked
myself
out
of
my

I
was
very
nervous

scared,
given
that
the

quiet.
The
only
thing
I

Luckily,
a

He

What

阅读下列短文,从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。
A
You
haven’t
truly
visited
a
city
until
you’ve
experienced
its
nightlife.
Watching
a
big
city
like
London
gradually
turn
dark
and
darker
into
the
night
is
a
beautiful
journey
of
time
and
light.
So
how
about
taking
a
historical
evening
walk
and
touching
some
of
the
nicest
areas
in
central
London?
Let’s
get
started.
6:30
pm
The
walk
starts
on
the
Millennium
Bridge.
On
the
bridge,
watch
the
scenic
city
across
the
River
Thames
with
the
skyscrapers
gradually
lighting
up
against
the
darkening
skies.
The
Millennium
Bridge
has
been
featured
in
many
London-based
films,
including
Harry
Potter,
and
the
film
Guardians
of
the
Galaxy.
7:30
pm
It’s
getting
dark.
A
fifteen-minute
walk
northwest
from
St
Paul’s
Cathedral
takes
you
to
the
historic
Borough
Market.
During
the
evenings,
you
find
a
lot
of
restaurants
around
the
market.
This
is
an
excellent
time
to
get
your
dinner.
9:00
pm
The
next
stop
is
London
Bridge.
This
is
about
6
minutes’
walk
from
the
Borough
Market.
As
you
join
other
onlookers
and
mentally
go
through
the
nursery
school
rhyme
of
“London
Bridge
is
Falling
Down”,
you
get
lost
again
in
history.
Why
does
the
song
say
London
Bridge
is
falling
and
who
is
the
fair
lady?
During
the
London
city
fire
of
1897,
London
Bridge
served
an
important
role
in
fire
control.
It
was
one
of
the
major
structures
that
prevented
the
fire
from
crossing
over
to
the
other
side
of
London.
11:30
pm
London
never
sleeps;
it’s
a
few
minutes
to
midnight
and
everywhere
is
still
filled
with
people
moving
around.
About
four
minutes
away
from
the
Golden
Jubilee
Bridges
is
Trafalgar
Square,
our
next
stop.
12:00
am
It’s
been
a
beautiful
evening,
hasn’t
it?
21.
Where
can
you
visit
a
Guardians
of
the
Galaxy
filming
location?

In
the
St
Paul’s
Cathedral.
B.
On
the
Millennium
Bridge.
C.
In
the
Borough
Market.
D.
On
the
Golden
Jubilee
Bridges.
22.
What
can
be
learned
about
the
Borough
Market?
A.
It
is
far
from
London
Bridge.
B.
It
is
related
to
a
famous
song.
C.
It
is
an
ideal
place
for
dinner.
D.
It
is
a
modern
open-air
market.
23.
What
is
the
main
purpose
of
the
text?
A.
To
show
London’s
colorful
culture.
B.
To
introduce
the
scenery
in
London.
C.
To
ask
people
to
do
outdoor
activities.
D.
To
recommend
a
night
tour
in
London.
【答案】21.

B
In
the
summer
of
2016,
I
gave
a
talk
at
a
small
conference
in
northern
Virginia.
I
began
by
admitting
that
I’d
never
had
a
social-media
account;
I
then
outlined
arguments
for
why
other
people
should
consider
removing
social
media
from
their
lives.
The
event
organizers
uploaded
the
video
of
my
talk
to
YouTube.
Then
it
was
shared
repeatedly
on
Facebook
and
Instagram
and,
eventually,
viewed
more
than
five
million
times.
I
was
both
pleased
and
annoyed
by
the
fact
that
my
anti-social-media
talk
had
found
such
a
large
audience
on
social
media.
I
think
of
this
event
as
typical
of
the
love-hate
relationships
many
of
us
have
with
Facebook,
Instagram,
and
other
social-media
platforms.
On
the
one
hand,
we’ve
grown
cautious
about
the
so-called
attention
economy,
which,
in
the
name
of
corporate(公司的)
profits,
destroys
social
life
gradually
and
offends
privacy.
But
we
also
benefit
from
social
media
and
hesitate
to
break
away
from
it
completely.
Not
long
ago,
I
met
a
partner
at
a
large
law
firm
in
Washington,
D.C.,
who
told
me
that
she
keeps
Instagram
on
her
phone
because
she
misses
her
kids
when
she
travels;
looking
through
pictures
of
them
makes
her
feel
better.
In
recent
months,
some
of
the
biggest
social-media
companies,
Facebook
and
Twitter,
in
particular,
have
promised
various
reforms.
In
March,
Mark
Zuckerberg
announced
a
plan
to
move
his
platform
toward
private
communication
protected
by
end-to-end
encryption(端对端加密);
later
that
month,
he
put
forward
the
establishment
of
a
third-party
group
to
set
standards
for
acceptable
content.
All
of
these
approaches
assume
that
the
reformation
of
social
media
will
be
a
complex,
lengthy,
and
gradual
process.
But
not
everyone
sees
it
that
way.
Alongside
these
official
responses,
a
loose
collective
of
developers
that
calls
itself
the
IndieWeb
has
been
creating
another
alternative.
They
are
developing
their
own
social-media
platforms,
which
they
say
will
preserve
what’s
good
about
social
media
while
getting
rid
of
what’s
bad.
They
hope
to
rebuild
social
media
according
to
principles
that
are
less
corporate
and
more
humane(人道的).
24.
Why
did
the
author
feel
annoyed
when
his
video
was
spread
online?
A.
His
video
caused
many
arguments.
B.
His
video
was
shared
without
his
permission.
C.
His
talk
was
opposed
by
a
large
amount
of
people.
D.
His
video’s
popularity
on
social
media
is
against
his
talk.
25.
Why
does
the
author
mention
the
story
of
his
partner
in
paragraph
2?
A.
To
prove
that
social
media
has
some
benefits.
B.
To
advise
people
to
break
away
from
social
media.
C.
To
tell
the
negative
effects
social
media
may
produce.
D.
To
describe
people’s
complicated
relationships
with
social
media.
26.
What
is
the
purpose
of
the
reform
made
by
some
social-media
companies?
A.
To
attract
more
users.
B.
To
improve
network
environment.
C.
To
make
more
profits.
D.
To
provide
more
convenient
service.
27.
What
does
the
IndieWeb
intend
to
do?
A.
Develop
new
social-media
platforms.
B.
Remove
social
media
from
people’s
lives.
C.
Improve
the
existing
social-media
principles.
D.
Help
social-media
companies
to
make
reformation.
【答案】24.
D
25.
A
26.
B
27.
A
【解析】
【分析】这是一篇夹叙夹议文。作者首先讲述自己的故事:自己再一次会议上坦言没有社交媒体账户并试图说服观众删除社交媒体的视频被放到网上,引起广泛关注。然后就社交媒体的好坏和后续发展展开评论。
【24题详解】
细节理解题。根据第一段最后一句“I
was
both
pleased
and
annoyed
by
the
fact
that
my
anti-social-media
talk
had
found
such
a
large
audience
on
social
media.(我的反社交媒体言论在社交媒体上获得了如此多的受众,这让我既高兴又恼火。)”可知,作者生气的点是她的言论初衷是反社交媒体,但却在社交媒体上大火,这很是讽刺。选项D“His
video’s
popularity
on
social
media
is
against
his
talk.(他的视频在社交媒体上的受欢迎程度与他的言论相悖。)”符合题意。故选D项。
【25题详解】
推理判断题。根据第二段第三句“But
we
also
benefit
from
social
media
and
hesitate
to
break
away
from
it
completely.(但我们也受益于社交媒体,却不愿完全脱离它。)”可知作者虽然强调社交媒体有很多坏处,比如破坏隐私。但我们同样也受益于它们。这样一个论点后出现的例子提到他的搭档应该是为了支撑这一观点。根据后文“Not
long
ago,
I
met
a
partner
at
a
large
law
firm
in
Washington,
D.C.,
who
told
me
that
she
keeps
Instagram
on
her
phone
because
she
misses
her
kids
when
she
travels;
looking
through
pictures
of
them
makes
her
feel
better.
(不久前,我遇到了华盛顿特区一家大型律师事务所的合伙人,她告诉我,她手机上有Instagram,因为她在旅行时想念孩子;看他们的照片让她感觉好多了。)”可知他的搭档确实因为能使用手机社交媒体看孩子们的照片而在旅途中感到好受一点。是对“我们同样也受益于社交媒体”这一观点的佐证。故选A项。
【26题详解】
推理判断题。第三段提到许多社交媒体公司在进行改革。作者以脸谱网为例。根据相关内容,如“a
plan
to
move
his
platform
toward
private
communication
protected
by
end-to-end
encryption”,“to
set
standards
for
acceptable
content.
”等可推断出脸谱网改革的目的是为了让网络平台更加私密、为可接受的内容制定标准,即改善网络环境,与选项B“To
improve
network
environment.”意思一致。故选B项。
【27题详解】
细节理解题。根据最后一段倒数第二句“They
are
developing
their
own
social-media
platforms,
which
they
say
will
preserve
what’s
good
about
social
media
while
getting
rid
of
what’s
bad.(他们正在开发自己的社交媒体平台,他们表示,这将保留社交媒体的优点,同时去除缺点。)”可知这群开发者正在开发它们自己的社交媒体平台,而且这个平台将保留社交媒体好的一面,摒弃不好的一面。故选项A“Develop
new
social-media
platforms.”开发新的社交媒体平台与句意相符。故选A项。
C
Sometimes
people
make
history.
George
Washington
became
the
first
president
of
the
United
States
and
made
history.
Sometimes
wars
make
history.
The
two
World
Wars
are
examples.
Sometimes
nature
even
becomes
part
of
history.
Shaking
earthquakes
are
recorded
in
history
books.
Sixteen
years
ago,
nature
caused
just
such
a
history-making
event.
In
September
2005,
Hurricane
Katrina
came
ashore
in
New
Orleans,
Louisiana.
The
deadly
storm
flooded
New
Orleans.
Before
Katrina,
no
other
big
American
city
had
ever
flooded
in
the
history
of
the
country.
This
natural
disaster
caused
great
harm
and
death.
New
Orleans
is
located
below
sea
level.
This
location
places
it
at
great
risk.
Levees
were
built
to
protect
New
Orleans
from
the
ocean.
(A
levee
is
like
a
wall
between
the
city
and
the
ocean.)
When
Hurricane
Katrina
came
ashore,
water
moved
over
the
levees
into
the
city.
Flooding
made
it
necessary
for
everyone
to
leave
the
city.
Before
Katrina,
Creole
food
(a
special
kind
of
cooking
only
in
Louisiana)
filled
the
air
with
delicious
smells.
The
sound
of
jazz
music
traveled
through
the
streets.
Now
the
city
has
to
return
to
its
former
glory.
Before
Katrina,
the
U.S.
government
had
never
made
everyone
leave
a
city.
People
in
New
Orleans
had
to
find
shelter
quickly.
Some
had
to
stay
at
the
Superdome
Sports
Center.
Some
rode
on
buses
to
other
towns.
Thousands
drove
their
cars
to
get
away
from
the
storm.
The
roads
and
shelters
filled
up
fast.
The
lesson
learned
from
Katrina
was
that
cities
must
be
better
prepared
for
big
storms
and
other
terrible
disasters
caused
by
nature.
Being
prepared
might
have
kept
more
people
safe.
Hurricane
Katrina
is
one
of
the
history-making
events
that
will
be
remembered
forever.
Today,
history
is
still
being
made
that
will
shape
the
future.
28.
What
does
the
author
tell
us
about
New
Orleans?
A.
It
was
built
above
sea
level.
B.
It
had
few
jazz
musicians
after
Katrina.
C.
It
was
the
first
U.S.
city
that
had
been
flooded.
D.
It
created
a
wholly
new
way
to
cook
after
Katrina.
29.
What
can
we
say
about
the
levees?
A.
They
were
almost
useless
for
fighting
Katrina.
B.
They
helped
people
leave
New
Orleans
quickly.
C.
They
made
New
Orleans
a
special
American
city.
D.
They
should
be
built
to
match
the
size
of
New
Orleans.
30.
What
might
the
author
advise
city
governments
to
do?
A.
Put
up
more
shelters
in
the
city.
B.
Build
more
levees
around
the
city.
C.

no
other
big
American
city
had
ever
flooded
in
the
history
of
the
country.(在卡特里娜飓风之前,美国历史上没有其他大城市发生过洪灾。)”可知,新奥尔良市是美国第一个被洪水淹没的城市。故选C。
【29题详解】
推理判断题。由第三段中的“When
Hurricane
Katrina
came
ashore,
water
moved
over

Did
you
know
people

preferences?
For

while
people
from

China
like
to

meat.
According
to
a
new
study
in
a

gene
variations
(变异)
might
be
responsible
for
these
differences.
Researchers
from
China’s
BGI
collected
genetic
information
from
141,431
Chinese
women,
who
came
from
31
provinces
and
consisted
of
36
ethnic
minority
groups.
They
found
that
natural
selection
has
played
an
important
role
in
the
ways
that
people
living
in
different
regions
of
China
have
developed,
affecting
their
food
preferences,
immunities
(免疫力)
to
illness
and
physical
features.
A

of
the
gene
FADS2
is
more

northern
people.
It
helps
people
metabolize
(新陈代谢)
fatty
acids,
which
suggests
a
diet
that
is

This
is
due
to
climate
differences.
Northern
China
is
at
a
higher
latitude.
This
weather
is
difficult
to

in.
Therefore,
northerners
tend
to
eat

meat.
The
study
also
found
differences
in
the
immune
systems
of
both
groups.
Most
people
in
southern
China
carry
the
gene
CR1,
which
protects
against
malaria.
Malaria
was
once
quite
common
in
southern
China.
In
order
to
survive,
the
genes
of
people
in
the
south
evolved
to
fight
against
this
disease.
However,
people
in
the
south
are
also
more
sensitive
to
certain
illnesses,
as
they
lack
the
genes
to
stop
them.
Genes
can
also
cause
physical
differences
between
northerners
and
southerners.
Most
northerners
have
the
ABCC11
gene,
which
causes
dry
earwax,
less
body
smell
and
fewer
sweats.
These
physical
differences
are
also
more
beneficial
to
living
in
cold
environments.
Southerners
are
less
likely
to
have
this
gene,
as
it
did
not
develop
in
their
population.

A.
Regions.

33.
What
is
the
main
function
of

leader
can
be
exhausting.
Serving
as
a
role
model
can
leave
leaders
feeling
tired
and
in
need
of
refreshment.(作为一个领导者可能会让人筋疲力尽。作为一个榜样会让领导者感到疲惫,需要振作)”结合后文提到了领导恢复精力的研究,故G选项“问题是什么是领导们恢复精力的最好方法”符合语境,故选G。
【37题详解】
根据上文“In
their
leisure
time,
leaders
need
to
stop
drawing
on
the
resources
they

during
which
he
stays
alone
in
a
remote
cabin.(例如,比尔·盖茨定期进行“思考周”,在此期间,他独自呆在一个偏远的小木屋里)”可知,上文提到了领导者停止利用耗尽的资源,后文则用比尔盖茨的思考周举例说明,可知领导者要给资源休息时间,D选项中those
resources对应上文中resources。故D选项“领导者应该给这些资源一个休息的时间,让它们回到最佳状态”符合语境,故选D。
【38题详解】
根据后文“Needs
come

【39题详解】
根据后文“If
leaders
are
away
from
the
office
but
still
answering
emails
and
responding
to
texts,
they
can’t
get
psychologically

这让他可以远离工作)”可知,后文提到了不在办公室领导者仍在回复邮件和短信,他们就无法从心理上得到放松,也不会得到充分的恢复,可见要在休息时不再想工作的事情,故A选项“别再想工作”符合语境,故选A。
【40题详解】
根据后文“Hobbies
let
us
take

Any
hobby
will
do.(爱好可以让我们利用不同于我们工作中使用的资源,满足我们的需求,让我们感到有能力,自由选择如何度过我们的时间,并使我们的精神专注,从而忘记我们的工作角色和义务。
任何爱好都可以)”可知,本段主要说明了业余爱好对于领导者恢复精力的好处,E选项中a
hobby对应后文中Hobbies。故E选项“一项能满足所有这些要求的活动是业余爱好”符合语境,故选E。

【解析】
【分析】这是一篇说明文。文章主要说明了随着中国城市抚养孩子的成本居高不下,近年来出生率进一步下降。官方的新华社报道称,允许每户家庭生育三个孩子的最新措施是为了“积极应对人口老龄化”。该政策包括所谓的“支持性措施”,使家庭更容易生育更多孩子。
【56题详解】
考查动词不定式。句意:多年来,中国实行独生子女政策来控制人口。名词way后跟动词不定式作后置定语,a
way
to
do
sth.“做某事的方法”。故填to
control。
【57题详解】
考查时态和语态。句意:但该政策在2016年被二胎限制取代。根据后文in
2016可知应用一般过去时,主语that
policy与谓语动词replace构成被动关系,故用一般过去时的被动语态,主语为policy,谓语用单数。故填was
replaced。
【58题详解】
考查副词。句意:然而,随着中国城市抚养孩子的成本居高不下,近年来出生率进一步下降。上文提到,这一变化的目的是提高出生人数,后文则说近年来出生率进一步下降,前后为转折关系,且由逗号隔开,应用however。句首单词首字母要大写。故填However。
【59题详解】
考查副词。句意:官方的新华社报道称,允许每户家庭生育三个孩子的最新措施是为了“积极应对人口老龄化”。修饰动词短语deal
with,应用副词actively,作状语。故填actively。
【60题详解】
考查宾语从句连接词。句意:该政策包括政府所谓的“支持性措施”,使家庭更容易生育更多孩子。空处引导宾语从句,从句中calls后缺少宾语,指代事情应用what引导。故填what。
【61题详解】
考查名词。句意:政府还表示,它将寻求对年轻人进行“婚姻和爱情”教育。空处作介词on宾语,表示“婚姻”应用名词marriage,根据后文and
love可知用单数。故填marriage。
【62题详解】
考查冠词。句意:上海纽约大学社会学家李毅飞表示,由于“当今中国抚养孩子的成本高得令人难以置信”,近年来大多数家庭都不打算生更多的孩子。sociologist为可数名词,此处表泛指应用不定冠词,且sociologist是发音以辅音音素开头的单词,应用不定冠词a。故填a。
【63题详解】
考查固定短语。句意:上海纽约大学社会学家李毅飞表示,由于“当今中国抚养孩子的成本高得令人难以置信”,近年来大多数家庭都不打算生更多的孩子。结合句意表示“由于”可知短语为due
to。故填to。
【64题详解】
考查时态和主谓一致。句意:经济学家说,中国、泰国和其他一些亚洲经济体都面临着可能未富先老的担忧。根据上文Economists
say可知用一般现在时,且从句主语China后接介词短语along
with等不影响主语的人称和数,谓语动词应根据从句主语China的人称和数来确定,谓语用第三人称单数形式。故填faces。
【65题详解】
考查形容词。句意:经济学家说,中国、泰国和其他一些亚洲经济体都面临着可能未富先老的担忧。get是系动词,空处作表语,表示“富裕的”应用形容词wealthy。故填wealthy。

“If
mum
finds
out
that
I'm
going
to
the
beach,
I'll
be
in
big
trouble.”
I
said
to
myself
softly
in
a
low
voice.
I
went
downstairs
slowly
and
tried
to
walk
casually
into
the
kitchen.
As
I
was
walking
towards
the
back
door,
mum
asked
without
looking
up
from
her
dish-washing,
“Where
are
you
going?”
I
answered
back
without
hesitation,
“I
am
going
to
the
garden
to
play.”
After
I
got
out
of
the
kitchen,
I
breathed
a
sign
of
relief.
My
plan
had
worked
out
fine
so
far.
I
climbed
the
fence
and
jumped
onto
the
muddy
field
next
to
my
house
and
started
running
towards
the
bus
stop
at
top
speed.
After
half
an
hour
I
was
at
the
beach
scanning
the
crowd
for
my
friends,
Jimmy
and
Bobby.
Two
young
men
were
racing
in
the
canoes
(独木舟).
After
a

I

tree.
I

(游泳裤).
For

we
played

happily.
Suddenly,

up
the

the
tide
came
in
and
carried
the
ball
further

further
away
from

shore.
I
wanted
to
show
off
my
swimming
skills
so
I
declared
to
help
get
the
ball
for
him.
I
dived
into
the
water
and
started
swimming
at
a
steady
pace.
After
swimming
for
about
ten
minutes,
I
became
tired
but
when
I
saw
that
the
ball
was
only
a
few
feet
away
from
me,
I
put
in
an
extra
burst
of
speed.
However,
just
as
I
was
going
to
get
the
ball,
a
very
strong
current
swept
the
ball
further
away
from
me.
At
that
moment,
a
string
of
weed
(海草)
tangled
(缠绕)
up
with
my
feet
and
I
could
not
swim
properly.
I
struggled
to
keep
afloat
but
it
was
no
use.
“If
