Part 3:Analysis of my students
My students are active in thoughts and are curious about the outside world. However, they lack in critical and deep thought about cultural relics, and their language levels are much lower than the urban students. As to reading, they usually lack scientific reading skills.
Part 4: Analysis of the Teaching Text
The content of my lesson is the reading of In Search Of The Amber Room, from New Senior English for China Book2, Unit1. This lesson is mainly about cultural relics. By giving this lesson, I want to help my students to know about the history of the Amber Room and motivate the students interest in some cultural relics in the world. Meanwhile, the students are demanded to learn how to give their opinions on protecting cultural relics and rebuilding the lost cultural relics. In this lesson, I will mainly enable my students to understand this text and practice some skills such as skimming, scanning, and retelling.
