B
Is
it
possible
to
put
millions
of
years
of
the
world’s
history
into
one
building?
The
British
Museum
seems
to
think
so.
“A
History
of
the
World
in
100
Objects”,
an
exhibition
about
rare
and
ancient
objects
from
the
world,
has
made
it
a
success.
The
British
Museum
says
it
owns
at
least
8
million
historical
objects.
But
why
choose
these
100
objects
to
tell
stories
of
our
world’s
history?
It
all
started
with
a
challenge(挑战).
Neil
MacGregor,
who
was
once
the
director
of
the
British
Museum,was
asked
by
BBC
to
choose
100
objects
from
the
museum’s
huge
collection.
The
objects
had
to
include
things
from
the
beginning
of
human
history
about
2
million
years
ago
to
the
present
day.
MacGregor
accepted
and
took
four
years
to
choose
each
object
himself.
In
2010,
MacGregor
appeared
on
BBC
radio,
giving
a
detailed(详细的)
explanation
of
each
object.
The
show
was
a
big
hit
and
all
these
100
objects
were
shown
in
the
British
Museum.
A
book
with
photos
of
each
object
soon
followed.
“The
objects
had
to
cover
the
whole
world,
from
a
cooking
pot
to
a
golden
galleon,
from
a
Stone
Age
tool
to
a
credit
card,”
MacGregor
wrote.
The
collection
includes
many
important
objects
from
China.
There
is
a
banknote
from
the
Ming
Dynasty,
showing
China
as
the
first
country
to
use
paper
money.
But
it’s
not
just
ancient
things
that
are
shown.
Among
them
are
some
modern
things
like
a
solar-powered
lamp
and
even
a
throne
made
of
weapons
created
by
an
African
artist.
“Of
course,
the
collection
could
only
be
‘a’
history
of
the
world.
But
it
is
still
a
history
that
people
in
the
present
world
need
to
know,”
MacGregor
wrote.?

Welcome
to
the
Museum
of
Failure(失败)!
Maybe
you
haven’t
heard
about
some
of
the
things
here.
That’s
because
they
are
all
“failures”.
On
7th
June,
2017,
the
Museum
of
Failure
opened
in
a
town
in
Sweden.
There
are
more
than
60
failed
products
from
all
over
the
world
on
show
at
the
museum.
Dr
Samuel
West
set
up
the
museum.
It
provides
visitors
with
a
learning
experience
about
the
important
role
of
failures.
Without
laughing
at
failures,
Dr
Samuel
West
hopes
that
they
can
help
us
learn
from
our
mistakes.
“When
we
try
out
a
new
skill
or
learn
something,
it’s
okay
to
fail,”
he
said.
The
museum
also
encourages
companies
to
become
better
at
learning
from
failures.
One
of
the
failed
products
on
show
is
Apple
Newton.
It
offers
an
example
of
how
companies
can
turn
failure
into
success.
Created
in
1993,
Apple
Newton
failed
to
satisfy
customers.
Steve
Jobs
stopped
producing
it
in
1998.Twelve
years
later,
the
company
produced
the
successful
iPad.
“By
stopping
it,
we
could
work
on
new
products,”
Jobs
later
said.
“And
finally
we
got
it
right
when
we
moved
on
to
the
iPhone
and
the
iPad.”
Getting
all
the
products
wasn’t
easy
for
Dr
Samuel
West.
Many
of
them
were
bought
on
eBay
and
all
of
them
were
different
from
one
another.
Now
Dr
Samuel
West
became
successful
by
setting
up
the
museum
that
can
travel
around
the
world.
He
and
his
museum
will
then
come
to
Los
Angeles,
New
York,
Shanghai,
Tokyo
and
so
on.
Meanwhile,
lots
of
people
have
booked
to
visit
the
museum.
( )66.How
long
has
the
Museum
of
Failure
been
open?
A.For
about
five
years.
B.For
about
four
years.
C.For
about
three
years.
D.For
about
two
years.
( )67.What
does
the
underlined
word
“they”
refer
to?
A.Visitors.
B.Mistakes.
C.Learning
experiences.
D.Failures.
( )68.What
can
we
learn
from
the
last
paragraph?
A.Many
companies
will
set
up
such
museums.
B.It
was
difficult
for
West
to
set
up
the
Museum
of
Failure.
C.The
Museum
of
Failure
is
very
popular
all
over
the
world.
D.West
became
successful
by
setting
up
many
museums
around
the
world.

Researchers
have
found
that
people
who
go
to
live(现场直播的)
concerts
and
museums
live
longer
than
those
who
do
not.
Experts
from
a
London
university
researched
over
6,700
British
people
for
15
years.
They
found
out
how
often
these
people
went
out
and
where
they
went.
They
also
found
that
over-50s
who
regularly
went
to
concerts
were
around
30
percent.
They
are
less
likely
to
die
in
the
next
14
years.
The
over-50s
can
lengthen
their
lives
by
enjoying
“beautiful
arts”.
These
include
art
centres,
concerts,
museums,
the
opera
and
theatres.
In
addition,
people
who
often
go
to
concerts
can
have
more
fun.
Lead
researcher
Dr
Daisy
said
that
money
plays
an
important
role
in
whether
or
not
they
enjoy
beautiful
arts.
She
wrote,
“Over
40
percent
of
people
in
the
poorest
group
said
that
they
never
took
part
in
cultural
activities.”
The
UK
Health
Secretary
believes
the
research.
Dr
Daisy
said
art
and
culture
can
improve
things
like
mental(精神的)
health,
ageing
and
loneliness.
The
UK’s
National
Health
Service
will
use
the
arts
to
improve
people’s
happiness
and
health.
The
researcher
said,
“I
hope
more
and
more
people
will
have
more
chances
to
go
to
concerts,
museums,
art
centres
and
so
on.”

F
You
must
be
familiar
with
lightning(闪电).
But
how
does
it
come
about?
Here
is
the
common
sense
about
lightning.
To
put
it
simply,
lightning
is
electricity.
It
forms
from
the
strong
up-and-down
air
move.
When
water
drops
and
ice
crystals(水晶)
hit
with
one
another
quickly
and
heavily,
it
comes
into
being.
Scientists
believe
that
these
strong
touches
build
up
charges
of
electricity
in
a
cloud.
The
positive
and
negative
electrical
charges(正负电极)
in
the
cloud
separate
from
one
another.
The
negative
charges
drop
to
the
lower
part
of
the
cloud
and
the
positive
charges
stay
in
the
middle
and
upper
parts.
Positive
electrical
charges
sometimes
also
build
upon
the
ground
below.
When
the
difference
in
the
charges
becomes
very
great,
a
smooth
movement
of
electricity
will
happen.
The
move
is
from
the
cloud
down
to
the
ground
or
from
one
part
of
the
cloud
to
another,
or
from
one
cloud
to
another
cloud.
There
are
down-moving
negative
charges.
And
when
the
positive
charges
on
the
ground
jump
up
to
meet
them,
the
negative
charges
with
a
bright
flash(闪光)
of
light
suddenly
become
light.
It
is
lightning.
Because
of
this,
our
eyes
fool
us.
We
think
that
lightning
travels
down
from
the
sky.
In
fact,
the
lightning
travels
up
from
the
ground.

of
Class
Two,
Grade
Nine,
I
love
my
job
and
all
of
my
students.
Jack,
one
of
my
students,
used
to
be
very
active
and
always
answered
the
questions
loudly.
His
father
is
a
guard
and
his
mother
is
a
worker.
They
are
both
very
busy
with
their
work.
These
days,
Jack
has
changed
a
lot.
He
is
always
absent
from
school
and
I
am
very
worried
about
him.
So
today,
I
asked
him
to
come
to
the
office
and
had
a
long
talk
with
him.
He
told
me
that
his
father
opened
his
private
email
and
that
it
made
him
very
unhappy.
He
could
not
put
his
heart
into
his
study,
so
his
grades
dropped
a
lot.
After
I
learned
about
Jack’s
situation,
I
decided
to
talk
with
his
father
on
the
phone.
I
want
to
advise
him
to
say
sorry
to
his
son
and
I
hope
our
talk
will
be
helpful
to
Jack.

please
stand
in
a
line.
Let’s
hurry
up
and
begin
our
class
trip
to
the
museum.
The
visit
starts
from
the
ground
floor.
Pay
attention
to
the
information
about
the
technology
in
the
old
days.
You
can
learn
a
lot
from
it.
Then
we’ll
go
upstairs
to
the
first
floor.
After
we
arrive
at
the
Inventors
of
the
20th
Century
Room,
please
read
stories
about
these
inventions
and
look
at
some
modern
inventions
as
well.
While
you
look
at
these
inventions,
think
how
they
can
make
our
life
more
comfortable.
When
you
have
finished
looking
at
the
things
on
show,
take
a
lift
up
to
the
third
floor.
You
can
go
to
the
cafe
for
a
drink,
but
don’t
stay
too
long.
If
you
want
to
know
more
about
the
museum,
you
can
buy
books
or
magazines,
or
ask
the
guide
for
help.
Remember,
the
most
helpful
way
is
to
search
the
museum’s
website.
And
our
trip
will
last
for
four
hours.
I’m
looking
forward
to
reading
the
reports
about
your
visit
next
Monday.
