  China is the country with the largest population in the world.Too many people cause many problems such as the food problem.And today, China’s population is still growing very fast.So in order to control the population, China has formulated(规划) the policy of family planning, that is, late marriage(结婚), late childbirth and fewer but healthier children. Men of 22 years old and women of 20 years old can get married.If a man of 25 or over 25 gets married with a woman of 23 or over 23, their marriage is late marriage.The child by a woman at the age of 24 or later is late childbirth.
In the past forty years, the government has encouraged people to have only one child.Family planning is a useful policy to control China’s population. China’s family planning policy has achieved remarkable effects(非凡的效果), and it is still needed in China in the following years.
With the development of society, more and more problems appeared, and the one-child policy had to change.So China began to practise the universal(普遍的) two-child policy in January, 2016.The policy means “one couple, two children”.It will be able to balance(使平衡) population growth and offset(抵消) the burden of population ageing(人口老龄化).
