Ⅱ.阅读理解
A
A
student
is
learning
to
speak
British
English.
He
wonders:
Can
I
communicate
with
Americans?
Can
they
understand
me?
Learners
of
English
often
ask:
What
are
the
differences
between
British
and
American
English?
How
important
are
these
differences?
Certainly!
there
are
some
differences
between
British
and
American
English.
There
are
a
few
differences
in
grammar.
For
example,
speakers
of
British
English
say
“in
hospital”
and
“Have
you
a
pen?”.
Americans
say
“in
the
hospital”
and
“Do
you
have
a
pen?”.
Pronunciation
is
sometimes
different.
Americans
usually
sound
theirs
in
words
like
“bird”
and
“hurt”.
Speakers
of
British
English
do
not
sound
theirs
in
these
words.
There
are
differences
between
British
and
American
English
in
spelling
and
vocabulary.
For
example,
“colour”
and
“honour”
are
British,
“color”
and
“honor”
are
American.
These
differences
in
grammar,
pronunciation,
spelling
and
vocabulary
are
not
important,
however.
For
the
most
part,
British
and
American
English
are
the
same
language.
1.According
to
this
passage,
a
student
who
is
learning
to
speak
American
English
might
be
afraid
that
________.
A.British
people
cannot
understand
him
B.American
people
cannot
understand
him
C.the
grammar
is
too
hard
for
him
D.the
spelling
is
too
hard
for
him
2.American
English
and
British
English
are
different
in
________.
A.spelling
B.pronunciation
C.grammar
D.all
of
the
above
3.Most
________
say
“Do
you
have
a
watch?”.
A.British
people
B.Americans
C.children
D.teachers
4.According
to
this
passage,
British
people
and
Americans
have
________
difficulty
in
understanding
each
other.
A.little
B.much
C.some
D.great
B
An
international
team
of
researchers
from
the
University
of
Oxford
have
found
that
the
way
people
use
the
Internet
is
closely
tied
to
the
seasonal
movements
in
the
natural
world.
Their
online
species
searches
follow
the
patterns
of
seasonal
animal
migrations
(迁徙).
Migratory
birds
(候鸟)
flood
back
to
where
they
reproduce
every
spring.
That
migratory
behavior
is
accompanied
by
some
human
behavior.
“The
online
searches
for
migratory
species
tend
to
increase
in
spring
when
those
birds
arrive
in
the
United
States,”
said
the
lead
author
John
Mittermeier.
And
not
just
birds.
Mittermeier
and
his
team
surveyed
nearly
2.5
billion
search
records,
for
32,000
species,
across
245
languages.
They
also
saw
variable
search
rates
for
insects,
horsetails
and
flowering
plants.
Seasonal
trends
seemed
to
be
widespread
in
online
searching
behavior
for
many
species
of
plants
and
animals.
This
finding
suggests
new
ways
to
monitor
changes
in
the
world's
biological
diversity.
It
also
shows
new
ways
to
see
how
much
people
care
about
nature,
and
which
species
and
areas
might
be
the
most
effective
targets
for
conservation.
Mittermeier
is
encouraged
by
the
search
results.
He
commented,
“I
think
there's
a
concern
among
conservationists
(自然环境保护主义者)
that
people
are
losing
touch
with
the
natural
world
and
that
they're
not
interacting
with
native
species
anymore.
And
so
in
that
sense,
it
was
really
exciting
and
quite
unexpected
for
me
to
see
people's
interest
closely
related
to
changes
in
nature.”
Richard
Grenyer,
Associate
Professor
from
the
University
of
Oxford,
says
search
data
is
useful
to
conservation
biologists,
“By
using
these
big
data
approaches,
we
can
direct
our
attention
towards
the
difficult
questions
in
modern
conservation:
which
species
and
areas
are
changing,
and
where
are
the
people
who
care
the
most
and
can
do
the
most
to
help.”
5.What
have
researchers
found
about
species
searches?
A.They
strengthen
ties
among
people.
B.They
affect
the
animal
movements.
C.They
differ
in
language
backgrounds.
D.They
reflect
animal
migration
seasons.
6.What
is
the
purpose
of
writing
Paragraph
3?
A.To
summarize
the
research
process.
B.To
further
support
the
research
findings.
C.To
show
the
variety
of
species
searches.
D.To
present
researchers'
heavy
work
load.
7.How
does
Mittermeier
feel
about
the
search
results?
A.Satisfied
with
online
service.
B.Worried
about
online
searching
behavior.
C.Amazed
at
people's
care
about
nature.
D.Sad
about
people's
not
getting
close
to
nature.
8.Why
does
Richard
think
such
search
data
is
useful?
A.It
helps
to
aim
at
conservation
targets.
B.It
increases
interest
in
big
data
approaches.
C.It
keeps
track
of
trends
in
biologists'
work.
D.It
pushes
people
to
solve
difficult
problems.
Ⅲ.概要写作
阅读下面短文,根据其内容写一篇60词左右的内容概要。
When
you
are
learning
English,
listening,
speaking
and
writing
are
important,
but
reading
can
also
be
very
helpful.
When
you
read,
you
can
not
only
learn
some
new
words,
but
also
you
can
learn
how
to
use
these
English
words.
When
you
read,
it
gives
you
a
good
example
for
writing.
Read
something
that
you
can
(more
or
less)
understand.
If
you
need
to
stop
every
three
words
to
use
a
dictionary,
it
is
not
interesting.
Reading
books
with
a
reasonable
number
of
new
words
is
very
important.
If
there
are
four
or
five
new
words
on
a
page,
write
them
in
your
notebook.
But
you
don't
have
to
write
them
while
you
read.
Instead,
try
to
guess
their
meaning
as
you
read,
and
mark
them
with
a
pen.
Then
come
back
when
you
have
finished
reading
to
look
them
up
in
a
dictionary
and
write
them
in
your
own
vocabulary
book.
Then
try
to
remember
them.
You
should
develop
a
good
habit
of
reading.
For
example,
read
for
a
short
time
once
a
day.
Fifteen
minutes
every
day
is
better
than
two
hours
every
Sunday.
Fix
(固定)
a
time
to
read
and
keep
to
it.
You
could
read
for
fifteen
minutes
when
you
go
to
bed,
or
when
you
get
up
or
at
lunchtime.
There
are
a
variety
of
books
in
the
bookstore,
so
what
kinds
of
books
should
you
choose?
Choose
a
book
or
a
magazine
about
a
subject
that
you
like,
because
you
are
going
to
spend
time
and
money
reading
it.
So,
choose
an
interesting
book.
You
can
also
read
newspapers.
There
are
many
English
newspapers
in
China,
for
example,
21st
Century
Teens.
It
is
easy
enough
for
you
to
understand
it.
There
is
something
interesting
in
it.

Ⅱ.阅读理解
A
【语篇解读】 文章讲述了美国英语和英国英语之间的差别主要在四个方面,并说明了它们属于同一种语言,这两国人在相互理解方面没有困难。
1.答案与解析:A 推理判断题。根据文章第一段第二句“He
wonders:
Can
I
communicate
with
Americans?
Can
they
understand
me?”说明学英国英语的人会担心美国人能否听懂,而学美国英语的人也担心英国人是否能听懂。
2.答案与解析:D 细节理解题。根据第二段“There
are
a
few
differences
in
grammar.
There
are
differences
between
British
and
American
English
in
spelling
and
vocabulary.
Pronunciation
is
sometimes
different.”这三句说明美国英语和英国英语在语法,拼写,词汇和发音方面都有差异。
3.答案与解析:B 细节理解题。根据第二段中“Americans
say
‘in
the
hospital’
and
‘Do
you
have
a
pen?’”说明“Do
you
have
a
watch?”是讲美国英语的人所说。故选B。
4.答案与解析:A 推理判断题。根据文章最后一句“For
the
most
part,
British
and
American
English
are
the
same
language.”说明这是一种语言,那么这两国人在理解对方的语言方面应当没有困难。
B
【语篇解读】 本文是一篇说明文。牛津大学的一个国际研究小组发现,人们使用互联网的方式与自然界的季节性变化密切相关。人们上网的搜索数据对生物保护学家很有用。
5.答案与解析:D 考查细节理解。根据第一段最后一句“Their
online
species
searches
follow
the
patterns
of
seasonal
animal
migrations
(迁徙)”可知,人们对物种的搜索反映出了动物季节性迁徙的情况。
6.答案与解析:B 考查推理判断。本段第一句话“And
not
just
birds”暗示,该段要谈鸟以外的其他东西,这显然是对上文内容的延伸,而上文提到的是研究结果,由此可知本段是为了进一步支持上述的研究结果。
7.答案与解析:C 考查推理判断。根据倒数第二段的最后一句中的“it
was
really
exciting
and
quite
unexpected
for
me
to
see
people's
interest
closely
related
to
changes
in
nature”可知,看到人们的兴趣与自然界的变化密切相关,Mittermeier很兴奋,也感到很意外,因此他感到“惊讶(amazed)”。
8.答案与解析:A 考查细节理解。根据最后一段中的“By
using
these
big
data
approaches,
we
can
direct
our
attention
towards
the
difficult
questions
in
modern
conservation”可知,Richard之所以认为搜索数据对生物保护学家很有用,是因为这些数据引导我们关注对生物的保护。

B
Email
has
brought
the
art
of
letter
writing
back
to
life,
but
some
experts
think
the
resulting
spread
of
bad
English
does
more
harm
than
good.
Email
is
a
form
of
communication
that
is
changing,
for
the
worse,
the
way
we
write
and
use
language,
say
some
communication
researchers.
It
is
also
changing
the
way
we
interact
(交流)
and
build
relationship.
These
are
a
few
of
the
recently
recognized
features
of
email,
say
experts,
which
should
cause
individuals
and
organizations
to
rethink
the
way
they
use
email.
“Email
has
increased
the
spread
of
careless
writing
habits,”
says
Naomi
Baron,
a
professor
of
linguistics
(语言学)
at
an
American
university.
She
says
the
poor
spelling,
grammar,
punctuation
and
sentence
structure
of
emails
reflect
(反映)
a
growing
unconcern
about
the
way
we
write.
Baron
argues
that
we
shouldn't
forgive
and
forget
the
poor
writing
often
shown
in
email.
“The
more
we
use
email
and
its
tasteless
writing,
the
more
it
becomes
the
normal
way
of
writing,”
the
professor
says.
Others
say
that
despite
its
poor
writing,
email
has
finished
what
several
generations
of
English
teachers
couldn't:
it
has
made
writing
fashionable
again.
“Email
is
a
critical
new
communication
technology.”
says
Ian
Lancashire,
a
professor
of
English
at
Toronto
University.
“It
fills
the
gap
between
spoken
language
and
the
formal
methods
of
writing
that
existed
before
email.
It
is
the
purest
form
of
written
speech.”
Lancashire
says
email
has
the
mysterious
ability
to
get
people
who
are
usually
scared
by
writing
to
get
their
thoughts
flowing
easily
onto
a
blank
screen.
He
says
this
is
because
of
email's
close
similarity
to
speech.
“It's
like
a
circle
of
four
or
five
people
around
a
campfire,”
he
says.
Still,
he
accepts
that
this
new?found
freedom
to
express
themselves
often
gets
people
into
trouble.
Emails
sent
in
a
day
almost
exceed(超过)
the
number
of
letters
mailed
in
a
year.
But
more
people
are
recognizing
the
content
of
a
typical
email
message
is
not
often
exact.
5.From
what
Baron
says
in
the

people
use
email
more
than
careful
people
B.email

4)
refer
to?
A.The

B.Email.
C.The
good

D.A
new
communication
technology.
7.In
Lancashire's
opinion,
email
is
a
wonderful
technology
because
________.
A.it
can
be
useful
all
over
the
world
B.it
is
the
fastest
way
to

C.we

Ⅲ.阅读理解
Learning
Chinese
could
be
one
of
the
most
important
decisions
you
have
ever
made.
Chinese
is
becoming
the
language
to
learn
in
the
21st
century.
With
the
world's
largest
population
and
the
rapidly
growing
middle
class,
China
stands
to
become
the
engine
of
the
world's
economy
in
the
coming
years.
This
will
make
learning
Chinese
very
important
for
people
in
many
industries,
or
for
those
who
wish
to
visit
China
or
learn
from
its
culture
and
history.
There
is
an
ongoing
effort
to
modernize
the
writing
system
and
standardize
the
language.
An
increasing
number
of
people
learning
Chinese
are
learning
Mandarin,
so
unless
you
absolutely
need
to
learn
another
dialect
(such
as
Cantonese),
be
sure
you
are
studying
Mandarin.
For
native
English
speakers,
Chinese
is
one
of
the
most
difficult
and
most
different
languages
to
learn.
The
vocabulary
is
wholly
unfamiliar
and
unlike
anything
we
know.
In
addition,
in
the
Chinese
tone
system,
words
are
spoken
in
rising
or
falling
tones,
which
help
to
distinguish
them.
Furthermore,
there
is
the
Chinese
writing
system
—
a
collection
of
thousands
of
individual
ideograms
(表意文字),
or
symbols,
which
represent
a
word
or
an
idea.
These
ideograms
have
no
phonetic
(语音的)
value
—
that
is
to
say,
we
can't
tell
how
the
word
is
pronounced
by
how
it
is
written.
There
is
a
method
of
presenting
written
Chinese
in
a
phonetic
script
called
pinyin.
If
you
are
learning
Chinese,
you'll
be
working
with
this
pinyin
system,
but
the
beauty
of
the
traditional
writing
system
shouldn't
be
passed
up.
All
these
factors
make
learning
Chinese
difficult
for
us.
Yet,
for
a
determined
learner,
there's
always
a
way
to
overcome
these
difficulties.
1.Why
is
learning
Chinese
becoming
more
and
more
important?
A.Chinese
engines
are
very
welcome.
B.China
has
the
world's
largest
population.
C.There
are
more
and
more
rich
people
in
China.
D.China
is
becoming
more
and
more
important
to
the
world's
economy.
2.What
can
we
learn
from
the
text?
A.The
author
thinks
Chinese
is
as
difficult
as
English.
B.The
author
is
interested
in
the
Chinese
language
and
its
culture.
C.Foreign
languages
can
play
a
great
role
in
industrial
development.
D.As
long
as
the
pinyin
system
is
learned
well,
one
can
learn
Chinese
well.
3.What's

paragraph
mainly
about?

advantages
of
learning
Chinese.
C.The
Chinese
tone
system.
D.The
Chinese
writing
system.
4.What
