二、完形填空(15分)
Alice
watched
as
her
classmates
were
divided(分开)
into
two
teams
for
today’s
lesson
on
basketball.
Mr
Truman
had
named
Amber
and
Jesse
the
two
team
leaders,
and
they
were
16
their
teammates.
Alice
was
left
last.
“Alice,
you’re
with
me,”
Amber
said
17
.
Alice
lowered
her
head.
If

her

Her

Amber

passed
the
ball
to
her.
“Shoot!”
Amber
shouted.
Alice
threw
the
ball
and
watched
as
it
fell
26
the
net.
Alice’s
teammates
cheered.
“Oh,
wow!
That
was
a
27
shot!”
Amber
said
after
the
match.
“Thanks
for
passing
the
28
to
me,”
Alice
said.
“I’m
glad
I
did.
We
play
every
Saturday.
You
should
29
us,”
Amber
said.
“Maybe
I
won’t
be
picked
last
any
more
if
I
join
the
team,”
Alice
thought.
This
time,
she
decided

三、阅读理解(30分)
A
As
a
parent,
one
of
the
most
important
things
you
can
do
for
your
children
is
to
help
them
manage
their
emotions(情感).
But
it’s
not
easy.
Here
is
some
useful
advice.
Accept
and
Encourage
Your
Children’s
Emotions
Feelings
are
neither
right
nor
wrong,
and
everyone
has
the
right
to
have
their
own
feelings,
including
your
children.
We
should
always
encourage
them
to
show
their
feelings
through
questioning.
For
example,
if
he
looks
sad,
you
can
ask,
“You
look
down
today.
What
happened?”
Set
an
Example
to
Your
Children
Children
watch
their
parents
closely
and
learn
skills
from
them.
So
you
should
share
emotions
with
your
children.
For
example,
if
you
become
angry
because
someone
cuts
in
front
of
you
in
traffic,
share
how
you
solve
it
in
a
positive(积极的)
way.
Teach
Them
Empathy(共鸣)
When
your
kids
talk
about
something
that
happened
at
school,
ask
them
to
imagine
how
that
person
might
feel.
If
something
happens
to
someone
you
know,
don’t
forget
to
show
empathy
when
talking
about
it
in
front
of
your
children.
Praise(表扬)
Them
When
They
Remain
in
Control
When
something
that
makes
your
children
angry
happens
but
they
remain
in
control,
praise
them.
For
example,
“I
noticed
that
you
didn’t
get
angry
when
your
little
brother
kept
causing
trouble
in
your
game.
Instead,
you
found
something
fun
for
him
to
do.
It
was
great.”

)31.
When
a
child
looks
unhappy,
you
should__________
.
A.
leave
him
or
her
alone
B.
try
to
guess
what
happened
to
him
or
her
C.
call
his
or
her
teacher
D.
communicate
with
him
or
her
by
questioning

)32.
When
your
children
are
angry
but
in
control,
what
should
you
do?
A.
Ask
them
questions.
B.
Praise
them.
C.
Punish
them.
D.
Play
a
joke
on
them.

)33.
What
is
the
material
mainly
about?
A.
How
to
help
children
solve
problems
in
school.
B.
How
to
set
a
good
example
to
children.
C.
How
to
help
children
manage
their
emotions.
D.
How
to
be
a
good
friend
with
children.

Each
country
has
its
own
flag.
National
flags
are
often
designed
with
many
kinds
of
shapes
on
them
such
as
the
sun,
stars,
the
moon,
animals
and
bars.
Which
of
these
do
you
think
appear
more
on
flags,
the
moon,
stars

More
flags
have

the
sun

Stars
are
a

was
the
first
country
to
use
stars

In
Islam,
stars

a
holy(神圣的)
meaning.
Most
Arabic
countries
have
flags
with
five
point
stars
to
show
the
five
practices
of
the
Islamic
religious
faith(宗教信仰).
Also,
stars
are
used
in
Arabic
countries
because
of
the
wide
use
of
the
mathematic
shapes
in
Islamic
art.
Australia
and
New
Zealand
both
have
the
constellation(星座)
of
“Southern
Cross”
(a
real
group
of
stars)
pictured
on
the
flags.
What
shapes
appear
on
your
country’s
flag?

Leonardo
da
Vinci
was
an
artist,
scientist
and
inventor.
He
is
considered
to
be
one
of
the
greatest
and
cleverest
people
of
all
time.
Leonardo
was
born
in
the
town
of
Vinci,
Italy,
on
April
15,
1452.
At
about
the
age
of
14
he
became
an
apprentice
to
a
famous
artist
named
Verrocchio.
Then
he
learnt
about
art,
drawing,
painting
and
more
from
him.
Leonardo
was
excellent
in
many
areas,
including
drawing,
painting
and
sculpture(雕刻).
Although
we
don’t
have
a
lot
of
his
paintings
today,
he
is
probably
most
famous
for
his
paintings.
Two
of
his
most
famous
paintings,
and
perhaps
two
of
the
most
famous
in
the
world,
are
Mona
Lisa
and
The
Last
Supper.
Leonardo’s
drawings
are
also
quite
famous.
He
would
keep
journals(日记)
full
of
drawings,
often
of
different
subjects
that
he
was
studying.
Many
of
Leonardo’s
drawings
and
journals
were
about
scientific
knowledge
and
inventions.
His
journals
were
filled
with
over
13,000
pages.
He
drew
pictures
of
planes,
war
machines,
musical
instruments
and
more.
He
even
designed
a
bridge
which
would
help
protect
a
city
in
case
of
attack(攻击).
Leonardo
was
also
interested
in
anatomy(解剖学).
He
studied
the
human
body
a
lot.
He
described
different
parts
of
the
body
in
his
journals.
Leonardo
didn’t
just
study
the
human
anatomy.
He
also
had
a
strong
interest
in
horses,
cows,
frogs,
monkeys
and
other
animals.

One
day,
a
boy
called
David
showed
up
in
my
office
when
I
was
working
as
a
psychologist(心理学家)
in
England.
He
kept
walking
up
and
down
restlessly,
his
face
pale
and
his
hands
shaking
slightly.
His
head
teacher
had
introduced
him
to
me.
“This
boy
has
lost
his
family,”
he
wrote.
“He
is
understandably
very
sad
and
refuses
to
talk
to
others,
and
I’m
very
worried
about
him.”
Sometimes
the
best
thing
one
can
do
is
to
listen
openly
and
sympa-thetically(有同情心地).
The
first
two
times
we
met,
David
didn’t
say
a
word.
He
sat
there,
only
looking
up
to
look
at
the
children’s
drawings
on
the
wall
behind
me.
I
suggested
we
play
a
game
of
chess.
He
nodded.
After
that
he
played
chess
with
me
every
Wednesday
afternoon—in
complete
silence
and
without
looking
at
me.
It’s
not
easy
to
cheat
in
chess,
but
I
admit
I
made
sure
David
won
once
or
twice.
Usually,
he
arrived
earlier
than
agreed,
took
the
chess
board
and
pieces
from
the
shelf
and
began
setting
them
up
before
I
even
got
a
chance
to
sit
down.
It
seemed
as
if
he
enjoyed
my
company.
But
why
did
he
never
look
at
me?
“Perhaps
he
simply
needs
someone
to
share
his
pain
with,”
I
thought.
“Perhaps
he
senses
that
I
respect
his
suffering.”
Some
months
later,
when
we
were
playing
chess,
he
looked
up
at
me
suddenly.
“It’s
your
turn,”
he
said.
After
that
day,

.
He
got
friends
in
school
and
joined
a
bicycle
club.
He
wrote
to
me
a
few
times
about
his
biking
with
some
friends,
and
about
his
plan
to
get
into
university.
Now
he
had
really
started
to
live
his
own
life.
Maybe
I
gave
David
something.
But
I
also
learnt
that
one
without
any
words
can
reach
out
to
another
person.
All
it
takes
is
a
hug,
a
shoulder
to
cry
on,
a
friendly
touch
or
an
ear
that
listens.
