T: Wonderful! We can see many things in the park.

2. Let’s read.
1. Before reading.
(1) Talk about the information on the cover page
T: Today we are going to read a storybook. First, look at the cover page. What can you see here?
S: I can see a family, a slide, some trees, grass and flowers.
T: Great!
T: What’s the name of the story?
S: In the Park.
T: Can you find the writer and illustrator in the picture? This book is written by Emily Humphrey and illustrated by Addy Rivera Sonda.
(2) Ask some questions about the story.
T: Look at this family. How do they feel?
S: They look unhappy.
T: Yes. They are not happy. What do you want to know about this story?
S1: Who are they?
S2: Why are they unhappy?
S3: What’s in the park?
S4: What do they do in the park?
T: Wow. You have very good questions.
2. While Reading.
(1) Listen to the story and find the answers.
T: Now let’s enjoy the story. (播放绘本录音)
T: Can you try to answer these questions? Who are they?
S: They are a family.
T: Why are they unhappy?
S: Because the park is not clean.
T: Good. What’s in the park?
S: There is a slide, swings and a cat in the park.
T: Very good. And what do they do in the park? Let’s read the story together.
