Warming –up

Presentation and practice
1.learn and master the letters A – G
2. Show the letter cards and guide ss know and read them.
3.Practice the letters by different ways.
4.Play a game 字母排排队
Consolidation
1). Draw the children’s attention to the pictures in their Pupil抯 Book. Point to each letters and read the letters. Ask the class to call out the letters clearly.
2).Ask about the beginning sound in each word.
3).Repeat with the remaining pictures.
4).Say the chant or play the cd
5).Teach the children the chant line by line.
6).Repeat the chant 2 or 3 times. Encourage them draw letters in the air, as each letter in the chant is mentioned.
Development
Match the letters to the pictures. Trace the beginning letters and say the words.
1.牋牋 Point each letter and ask the class to name it. Ask the children What sound does it say?
2.牋牋 Then point to each picture. The children say the words.
3.牋牋 Ask the children to match each letter with word that begins with that sound. Explain that there may be more than one word for each letter.
4.牋牋 Now ask the children to trace the beginning letters to complete the words.
5.牋牋 Finally, ask them to point to and read each word.

Ask Ss to listen to the song and try to sing the ABC songs together.
3. Let’s count.
Presentation
1. Listen and point:
Ask the children to look at the PPT and to guess what they can see. Ss:…
2. T: Do you remember Daming?
Ss: Yes.
T: He’s our good friend, listen, he抯 singing.
Do you want to hear?
Ss: Yes!
(Use CD-Rom and ask the children listen to Sam singing the Alphabet Song.)
Explain that this is a traditional English song and that English children all learn to recite the alphabet using this song.
3. T: Do you like the song?
Ss :
T: Let抯 sing the song together, ok?
Ask the children listen to the song and point to each letter as they hear it.
Then play the CD-Rom again.
4. Pause after each line of the song. Ask the children to repeat.
5. Listen and ask the children to sing along.
Divide the class into groups. Give each group a line of the song.
Play the CD again.
This time each group only sing its ascribed line of the song.
Ask them to point to each letter as they sing.
Ask one Ss to come to the stage and point.
6. Let抯 play
Look and read quickly.
