hours
has

routine,”
the
museum
said
in
a
statement.“For
example,in
2002,when
the
scroll
painting
was
displayed
in
Shanghai,viewers
also
waited
six
hours
in
line.”
The
work
is

said
she
drove
hundreds

kilometres
from
Hohhot
in
Inner
Mongolia
to
visit
the
exhibition,and

worthwhile,”

The
scroll
painting
forms
part
of

special
exhibition
titled
“The
Precious
Collection

283
ancient
paintings

handwriting
masterpieces
once
recorded
in
the
Qing
Dynasty
emperors’
catalogue.
The
display
is
a
main
event
marking
the
90th
anniversary
of
the
museum’s
opening
to
the
public.
Shan
Jixiang,the
Palace
Museum
director,had
earlier
anticipated
huge
crowds.“However,we

need
to
let
more
people

exhibition
