编写提纲是在动笔写作之前，把对文章各部分如布局、内容如何表现的构思设想，用简明精练的文字记录下来的一种工作。编写提纲是写作的必要准备，它把“腹稿”的轮廓用文字加以明确的固定，是谋篇布局的较为有效而又易行的办法。
列提纲要注意：
1.把握主题一篇文章的主题即它的中心思想。
2.采集信息。信息的准确性是表达好主题的关键所在。把握了主题后，就要根据主题要求从所给出的写作材料(如图画，表格、文字)中去寻找信息点。
3.列出提纲。列提纲时一定要注意条理性。条理性是指要合理布局文章结构。首先，在文章思路、材料的组织、叙述的顺序等方面要有一定的条理性。例如。题目要求写一篇记叙文。可以按照事情发展的先后顺序来列，若介绍某一场所，则可按照空间顺序来列。若是一篇议论文，就应该按所议论观点顺序来安排结构。其次，根据需要安排好段落，各段之间要层次分明。

The Spring Festival is my favorite festival. It is on the first day of January on Chinese January calendar. Not only is it a traditional and important festival in China, but also it's my favorite festival of all. It's the time to come back home to have a get-together meal with families they love and miss. We often have 10 courses for the meal, which stands for the wishes of being healthy and wealthy in the coming year.
During the special festival, people usually send best wishes to each other. Every kid can get their lucky money from their parents and relatives. What's more, we can set off firecrackers on New Y ear's Eve. Some of my cousins can hold the firecrackers in their hands and light them and then throw them up. The firecrackers crack up in the sky and make all of us laugh heartily. It's really fantastic. I think nothing is more fun than doing that.
