本课的教学内容是新标准英语(一年级起点)五年级上册第三模块第二单元,本模块以节日为主要背景,本课紧接着第一单元万圣节的学习后,进一步了解复活节的相关知识,通过学习这一模块,学生可以加深对西方风俗文化的了解,进一步感知中西方文化的差异。
学情分析
学生通过对第一单元的学习,对于如何描述节日有了一定的认识,在英语语言积累方面有了一定的基础,能够理解课文的内容。对于万圣节有趣的活动学生们都兴致高涨,因此学生对于复活节新鲜事物同样充满着好奇和兴趣,为本文的学习奠定了良好的基础。但是由于中西方文化的差异,对于复活节了解不多,所以对文章深层内容的理解不到位,需要老师引导。
教学目标

能在故事层层学习的过程中借助已有的知识储备猜测、推理对话内容
能读懂简单的阅读材料,并在材料中获取相关信息。
能运用已有的知识储备简单的介绍熟悉的国内外节日

Show some sweets on the big screen and let the students say a western festival--Halloween.
Step 3:Presentation
Watch the video and answer the question

Question :How many eggs?--There are ten .
Step 4 :Text learning
引入新知--Easter
T:These eggs are beautiful ,right? English people make these special eggs on Easter.
Ask the question--When is the Easter?
Let the students read the text silently and find the answer.

Show the three questions about the Easter,Let the students read the text silently again and find the answers.

What do people give children?
What is sometimes in the big eggs?
Close the books and talk about the Easter in pairs.
Ask the question about why do people have Easter?Let the students guess the reason in group of 4.
Read a passage about why do people have Easter?
Easter is for the resurrection of Jesus.
Retell the whole passage about Easter.
Step 5 :Expand the Chinese Festival.
Ask the students What Chinese festivals do you know??
Show a passage and let the students read it silently and quickly,then tell us which Chinese festival is it ?(利用文本信息让学生快速默读然后找出文本所描述的中国节日到底是什么?)
Read the paragraph 1 and find the answer-Why do people have the Mid-Autumn festival ?
Read the paragraph2-3 and find the answers.

Talk about the Mid-Autumn festival together.

There are many Western festivals and Chinese festivals .Ask the students which one do you like? Why do you like it?
