Jane went to Penang on vacation this summer
Penang,槟城亦称“槟州”，马来西亚十三个联邦州之一，位于西马来西亚西北部。位于马六甲海峡的整个槟城被槟城海峡分成两部分：槟岛和威省。威省的东和北部与吉打州为邻，南部与霹雳州为邻；槟岛西部隔马六甲海峡与印尼苏门答腊岛相对。光大为槟城著名地标。州首府乔治市是槟城重要港口，是首都吉隆坡和新山市之后的全国第三大城市。 槟城1786年被英国殖民政府开发为远东最早的商业中心，当时从国外大量引进劳工，也把他们的文化及传统一并带入，造就了槟城现有的独特景色、遗迹和本土风情。今日的槟城已是一个反映东西方独特情怀的大都会，有“印度洋绿宝石”之称。
Georgetown,乔治市:马来西亚槟榔屿州首府的英文名称，通称“槟城”。
槟城山（Penang Hill）位于槟榔岛屿中部，槟城的主要山麓有西山(Western Hill)，虎山(Tiger Hill)，草莓山(Strawberry Hill)，是当地居民避暑圣地，主峰高830米为槟城最高点。由于昔日英国高官多居住于此，山下士兵利用旗语传递重要讯息，所以槟城山又称升旗山。
海墘街（Weld Quay），人们当年完全以地理环境为这条道路命名。海墘路当年的另一层意义是，过了海墘地区，人们可以正式“登陆”上岸，进入市区。

Monday, July 15th
I arrived in Penang in Malaysia this morning with my family .it was sunny and hot .so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel. My sister and I tried the paragliding. I felt like I was a bird .It was so exciting! For lunch, we had something very special -Malaysian yellow noodles, They were delicious! In the afternoon, we rode bicycles to Georgetown. There were a lot of new buildings now, But many of the old buildings are still there. In Weld Quay, a really old place in Georgetown ,we saw the houses of the Chinese traders from 100 years ago . I wonder what life was like here in the past .I really enjoyed walking around the town.

Jane arrived Penang in Malaysia this morning with her family .it was sunny and hot .so they decided (go) to the beach near their hotel. Her sister and she tried . (paraglide) . What a difference a day makes! My father and I decided to go to the Penang Hill today .we wanted to walk up to the top, but then it started raining a little.so we decided to take the train .we waited over an hour for the train because there were too many people. When we got to the top ,It was raining really hard . we didn’t have an umbrella, so we were wet and cold. It was terrible! And because of the bad weather, we couldn’t see anything below .My father didn’t bring enough money ,so we only had one bowl of rice and some fish. The food taste great because I was so hungry.
